Healthy Beginnings Curriculum

Healthy Beginnings Curriculum

The Lifelong Learning Healthy Beginnings Curriculum emphasises the establishment of secure attachments and positive relationships between babies and educators using the Circle of Security and learning zones focused on play schemas that support babies physical and intellectual development. We know your baby’s earliest emotional, social and physical experiences will directly impact their future resilience and wellbeing, and we are here to support that journey. Our qualified educators are trained and accredited by Affinity Education Group in the Lifelong Learning Curriculum.

What Babies Learn: During their first year, our Lifelong Learning Curriculum supports babies in developing trusting relationships with people and builds confidence to explore and understand the physical environment. Without this secure foundation, learning in other areas cannot flourish. Our learning experiences, based on play schemas, support those first connections and exploration, allowing emotional security, self-identity and self-confidence to emerge.

How Babies Learn: Babies learn best through relationships. Relationships provide babies with a secure base to explore the world and a haven to return to when babies seek comfort and connection with our educators. Our qualified educators can ‘tune in’ to your baby’s individual preferences and personality. Educators partner closely with families to create a Circle of Security for babies to thrive.

Where Babies Learn: Our Healthy Beginnings nurseries are thoughtfully designed, with spaces for babies to safely explore, play, sleep, and enjoy their meals. Look beyond the toys, and you’ll see the careful planning of our rooms that provide specific learning zones. Our baby's Lifelong Learning Curriculum zones include Stretch and Grow, Cosy Corner, Completely Connected, and Discovery Zones.

Early Experiences Curriculum

Early Experiences Curriculum

We know your toddler is ready to socialise, make friends and to be introduced to new challenges in a safe and nurturing environment. Our qualified childcare educators are trained and accredited in the Lifelong Learning Curriculum by Affinity Education Group. The Lifelong Learning Early Experiences Curriculum emphasises the development of toddlers’ language and social development using the Abecedarian approach within our intentional learning zones focused on play schemas that support toddlers' physical and intellectual development.

What Toddlers Learn: Our toddler curriculum is focused on supporting language development and early social skills. These foundational skills allow the active toddler to explore the expanding social world around them and build self-confidence and self-identity. Our Abecedarian language program and specially designed learning games support both social and language development.

Where Toddlers Learn: Our early experiences rooms are designed with the active toddler in mind with spaces for toddlers to explore their environment with lots of opportunity for hands on learning, playing, resting and eating with friends. Look beyond the toys and you’ll see the careful planning of our rooms which provide age-appropriate learning zones.

How Toddlers Learn: Toddlers learn best through play, supported by gentle and fun interactions with their educators and other children. Toddlers learn best through relationships; our educators focus on building trusting relationships with each toddler. Our focus on a positive and warm relationship supports toddlers to fully enjoy the Early Experience program, build confidence and explore those early friendships with others.

We recently transitioned our two children to this centre after some serious concerns with our previous centre, Our daughter and son have settled in so beautifully, the care their educators show is unmatched they’re warm and welcoming and go above and beyond to make our children feel loved, Our Sons educators have taken into consideration his needs with his hearing aid, allergy and intolerances which gives me peace of mind that he is in safe hands, Anita and Kahla always go out of their way each day to greet and check in with us, we can see the difference in our kids already, we now have a hard time with getting our kids to want to come home of an afternoon , Thank you so much to everyone at Bluebird Springfarm

We moved across to Bluebird just last month and, to be honest, I was a little cautious at first given the history. But the moment I walked through the doors and was greeted by Anita, all of that went away. It’s so refreshing to walk into a centre and be met with such warmth and genuine care. My kids absolutely love it, they scream with excitement to get inside and see their educators and friends everyday. At pick up, they never want to leave and it’s clear that the AM and PM educators communicate really well. They’re across the whole day and can give a proper update, rather than the standard “they had a good day.” That makes such a difference as a parent. All of the educators are so well trained, caring, and attentive to each child’s needs. You can genuinely see that they give their all to provide the best possible care. I highly recommend Bluebird, it’s been such a positive move for our family.
