A Place to Grow Academy is truly in a league of its own. From the moment we joined, we could see that this is not just a childcare centre. It is a place where children are genuinely known, loved and cared for. Everything is handled with such warmth, experience and professionalism. The educators truly care, and you can feel that in the way they speak to the children, support the families and manage every little detail. There is so much heart behind everything they do. As a parent, there is nothing more reassuring than leaving your child somewhere you know they are safe, happy, nurtured and surrounded by people who genuinely want the best for them. We feel incredibly fortunate to have found A Place to Grow Academy.

We honestly couldn’t be happier with A Place to Grow Academy. There is just something very different about this centre. You can tell the team genuinely care about the children and about the families as well. Everything is handled with so much love, patience and professionalism, and you really feel the experience behind the team. Our child is known as an individual, not just another child in the room, and that means so much to us. There is such a warm, calm feeling when you walk in and we have always felt completely comfortable leaving our child in their care. We genuinely feel A Place to Grow Academy is in a league of its own.

A Place to Grow Academy has exceeded our expectations. The educators are caring, experienced and incredibly attentive. They notice the small things and really understand each child as an individual. Debby and Sandra genuinely care and their support over the years of being here has been incredible. My husband and I tell everyone about A Place to Grow Academy. Our child comes home happy and talks so fondly about the educators and their friends. For us, that says everything. We wanted somewhere that offered excellent education but also genuine warmth and connection, and we found exactly that here.

About the curriculum

About the curriculum

Aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework, the Academy of Early Learning curriculum is flexible so it can be tailored to the individuality of every child. In doing so, the educators support the children to develop their confidence and love of learning so they can build important lifelong skills.

For the children aged 0 to 3 years in the Nursery and Childcare, the play-based curriculum encourages the children’s natural curiosity. They engage in activities that help to develop their imagination and creativity while enhancing their social, emotional and cognitive skills.

In the Kindergarten and Preschool rooms, the children develop the skills they will need to succeed at school and beyond. The focus is on giving the children the emotional, physical, intellectual and language skills they will carry with them as they transition to primary school.

A Place to Grow Academy is a privately owned and operated centre.

Each educator who is at our service undergoes a high-standard recruitment process to ensure the quality and standards are maintained.

All educators and staff must adhere to our core company team values and expectations.

Our Approved Provider, Centre Director and Educational Leader collaborate closely to ensure that our focus remains on high standards in all areas and at the forefront of our mission.

The team works collaboratively to ensure that the centre is like a home away from home for the children. The educators work with every child to cultivate their love of learning and set them up for success at school and beyond.

The educators are skilled at switching between group and individual learning to create a dynamic environment where collaboration and communication thrive. In partnerships with the local community, allied health, schools and the children’s families, the educators support each child’s holistic development.

Safety

Safety

At A Place To Grow Academy, the wellbeing and protection of every child is at the heart of everything we do. We believe that children flourish when they feel safe, seen, and deeply cared for — and we are dedicated to providing an environment where families have complete peace of mind.

As mandatory reporters, all of our educators are trained and legally obligated to identify and report any concerns regarding a child’s safety or welfare. This responsibility reflects our unwavering commitment to advocating for each child’s right to feel safe, respected, and protected at all times.

Our centre is proudly owner-operated, meaning that the company owner is actively involved in the day-to-day operations and personally oversees all aspects of care and compliance. This ensures that our safety standards remain exceptionally high and that every policy is guided by integrity and genuine care.

We maintain extremely low staff turnover, allowing children to form secure, long-term bonds with familiar educators who know and understand them deeply. This consistency builds trust and contributes to the calm, family-like environment that defines our service.

Our premises feature a secure entry system with cameras, and only authorised individuals are permitted access. Clear safety protocols and supervision procedures are in place across all areas of the centre, ensuring that the safety of every child, every day, is our highest priority.

At A Place To Grow Academy, safety is not just a policy — it is the foundation of the nurturing community we create together.

As grandparents my husband and I are very happy with A Place To Grow. Sandra made us feel very welcome and made the process for us to join easy. Our grandson Jordan was shy and Chelsea, Jack, and Brie, made him feel safe, welcome, and not alone. I would recommend A Place To Grow to anyone, and happy to give it a Five Star Review.<br>Julie & Rick Sclater.

Hi Debby, Thank you so much for all the beautiful memories you and your wonderful staff have given my little ones. From the very beginning, I have been so impressed by the staff’s dedication. Sharon is the reason M and all the boys are playing Oztag each week! When I asked the children to think of a message for their Christmas cards to each of their teachers, I could see how much of an impact each member of staff had. M thanks Abi for her science experiments, and thanked Sharon for her introduction to Oztag, which subsequently formed their team. She even went out of her way to practice and visit them! I am continually amazed by the standard of care, the quality of education, and the preparation for school readiness. What a difference between the centres we have been to. Everything about APTG is of the highest quality. I am only sad that I didn’t know about APTG earlier so I could have brought L and M to the centre many years sooner. Nonetheless, life unfolds as it does, and I am so grateful they have had the time they’ve had at your centre. Not only have L and M had a wonderful experience at APTG, but I will dearly miss chatting with all the staff as well. They have been such a pillar of love and acceptance. Every time I walk into the centre, I feel I can joke, laugh, share, and feel genuinely welcomed. It feels like an extension of the family, whilst still maintaining absolute professionalism. I will miss the staff immensely. Thank you to you, and to all of your beautiful staff for everything. You will all be dearly missed by me and my little family. I will miss all of the magical events your team hosts and the attention to detail and love. A big hug to all! Thank you for the memories!

We love APTGA, and feel so lucky to have found this gem of a place in Chifley. Our daughter has been there in the Toddler room since January and she loves "School" as she calls it. What makes this place stand apart from other centers I looked at, is the educators are all passionate about their jobs and the children, it's really a vocation for them rather than a job they fell into. They've all got qualifications and actually care about the children. There is thought put into the daily schedule, real attention given to each child. You can see that as soon as you do a tour, and every time you drop in. They're really switched on. I've really struggled to find the same thing in other places (as they don't have a Nursery so looking for somewhere for my baby). My daughter has also had like 80% less bugs compared to the previous place... i.e they do actually clean. So grateful to the team for giving my daughter such a wonderful daily experience. We feel so lucky to have discovered this place.
