This was unfortunately the worst childcare experience we have had after experiencing multiple other centres for our children.<br><br>Our 1.5 year old started at Giraffe in early 2026 and the centre was run by a really good centre director Bec and had a couple of good senior educators.<br><br>This quickly changed when the centre director was walked with no goodbye and no explanation to parents. Soon after, nearly all senior educators started quitting or moving out of the toddlers room and the quality quickly went down.<br><br>From that point on, morning drops offs were almost always to a completely empty foyer with no one physically present at front reception.<br><br>Despite us raising concerns about the lack of communication, the replaced centre director gave a delayed and AI generated response about Gmail issues.<br><br>We had constant issues with picking up our son having not had his jumper removed all day on hot days and having an empty water bottle.<br><br>His room was filled with very junior educators or constant changes. We were called on several occasions because of him getting bitten, falling off a chair or getting hit which seems to imply a lack of supervision.<br><br>One one occasion I complained about hearing from other parents and staff that “nearly everyone had gastro”, my response from the new director was that this wasn’t the case and they follow NSW standards for when to announce an outbreak. I researched this and replied that 2 or more constitutes an outbreak to which I received no reply.<br><br>There was constantly sick children and rarely to never any announcement regarding hygiene.<br><br>Eventually it became too low a standard to continue and we gave notice which is unusually set at 4 weeks. Instead of receiving a message of confirmation, the centre director Raquel did not reply for a number of days. We followed up confirming our notice and when Raquel did reply, she said they didn’t receive the original email and instead would take the day of her response as our formal notice.<br><br>And to top it all off, we decided to pull him 2 weeks early as the new daycare offered to take him for free for that period because he was so unhappy. No check in, no exit interview, no farewell message. Literally like he was never there.<br><br>This centre has gone way off the tracks and at $200+ per day is simply not worth it.

For some reason, our child seems to be having accident after accident at this childcare, and the explanations we’re given never seem to make sense.<br>I’ve spoken to a few friends whose children attend other childcare centres, and they’ve said that this number of accidents seems quite unusual.<br>Has anyone else experienced something similar with their childcare centre, or are we just being overly concerned? I’d really appreciate hearing other parents’ experiences.

Our little one started in the nursery room a few months ago and we couldn’t be happier with our experience so far!<br><br>The educators have been amazing- they bring such positive energy each day, provide thoughtful handovers, and are so warm and caring towards the kids. We are incredibly grateful for the support and care they provide.<br><br>Our daughter wears a Rhino brace, and from day one the team has been accommodating and confident in helping with putting it on correctly. Their willingness to support her needs has meant so much to us.<br><br>She absolutely loves the food too!!<br><br>Highly recommend.

My experience and my son’s toilet training journey with Giraffe Early Learning Centre Warringah has been extremely positive.<br><br>As a parent, I initially thought I should have started the toilet training process earlier because at home my son was showing some interest in using the toilet. However, after speaking with his educators, I realised that although he was showing signs of readiness at home, he wasn’t demonstrating the same confidence or interest at the centre yet.<br><br>I really appreciated the educators taking the time to explain that children can behave differently in different environments, and I chose to trust the knowledge and experience of the professionals who care for my son every day.<br><br>Together, we waited for the right moment to begin the process, and the difference was clear. He started accepting invitations to sit on the toilet naturally, without feeling pressured, stressed, or anxious.<br><br>While toilet training can happen quickly for some children, I truly valued Giraffe’s approach of respecting each child as an individual and allowing them to develop at their own pace.<br><br>After a few months of consistency, patience, and support, my son is now recognising when he needs to go to the toilet before having an accident, and seeing his confidence grow has been amazing.<br><br>As a full-time working parent, knowing that my child spends so much of his day with people who genuinely know him, respect him, and support his development means everything to me. I completely trust the team and I am very grateful for the care, patience, and respect they have shown throughout this journey.

Now that i changed the centre, i can see a huge difference. If you genuinely care about your child’s developmental milestones and early childhood growth, I strongly recommend researching other options. As a full-time working mum of twins with no family support in Australia, I relied on this centre not only for supervision, but for genuine developmental care and support. Unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing from the very beginning, despite my patience and repeated attempts to work collaboratively with staff and management. My twins were clearly ready for toilet training and confidently communicated their needs at home. However, the centre showed little willingness to support this important milestone. What was most upsetting was that staff could not even follow a basic toilet-training routine consistently for a single day. On one occasion, I picked up my children in wet pants, visibly uncomfortable and distressed, still playing in that condition. They were only taken to be changed after staff noticed I had arrived. This was not simply a lack of developmental support — it reflected a lack of basic care and attentiveness. What made the situation even more disappointing was the complete lack of accountability. Instead of receiving an apology or constructive communication, I was met with dismissive attitudes from management. It often felt like the centre preferred parents who simply dropped off and picked up their children without asking questions or raising concerns. To summarise my concerns: --No individual developmental reports available. Daily diaries were often incomplete, repetitive, or missing altogether. --Four proactive knowledgeable room leaders disappeared( we've been told they resigned) within one year and were never properly replaced. --No structured programs for sports, language, behavioural development, or other enrichment activities. --The focus appeared to be mainly on “getting through the day” and minimising accidents — although unfortunately, there were still frequent incidents with no form or explanation available. Despite being one of the most expensive centres in the area, the quality of care and developmental support did not reflect the cost. Since moving my children elsewhere, I am not only saving money, but more importantly, I can finally see positive growth, consistency, parent staff engagements and genuine support in my children’s development. I truly wish I had made the move sooner.

The staff are incredible, and the facility is beautiful. My son gets excited the moment we drive into the car park! It’s such a relief as a parent to know he’s safe and happy at daycare. I couldn’t recommend this centre more highly.

Cannot recommend this centre more highly! Although brand new, the staff here are so experienced, and clearly passionate about the care they provide. My 3yr old has been in multiple centres as a result of interstate moves and I can confidently say that we are so happy here. Plenty of space for running around outside, consistent communication and updates and just genuinely fantastic educators.
