Wool and Thimble in Willagee has been a big part of our family since it opened back in 2020. Our eldest, who’s now in pre-primary at school, still comes along during school holidays, and honestly, we’re dreading the day he has to finish when he turns six. Our little three-year-old goes three days a week and absolutely loves it. We’re pretty lucky to have a spot at such a high-quality centre. The team at Wool and Thimble are warm, professional, and truly committed to each child’s growth. They deliver engaging, play-based activities like First Kick Soccer and organise fun events such as Mothers and Fathers Day celebrations. With healthy meals prepared onsite and morning coffee and treats for parents, every day feels welcoming and well cared for. There’s a real warm and friendly vibe at Wool and Thimble. The staff go above and beyond to make sure every kid feels looked after. We’d recommend this daycare to any family looking for great care.

I love W & T! One of my favourite touches is the morning coffee and grab and go snack they offer to parents every single morning. The snack is beautifully made by their chef. Honestly, been a game changer for our busy mornings. Such a thoughtful gesture that shows how much they care not just about the children, but about supporting parents too. It’s the little things that make a big difference!

Every time I set for in this centre I am delighted to see every child engaged in an activity. There is a strong sense of order - with a beautiful feeling of playfullness and curiosity. This is not the Wild West, but a centre who's activities are centred around respect, care, education - and most of all love. It is apparent that the owners love their centre and this trickles down to the staff (who are all long term). The facilities are clean and welcoming and the learning is obvious. I feel this centre and its staff are here for the right reasons - they are here for the children and the families. I would recommend them every time x

I can't say enough good things about Wool & Thimble! My children have attended three different daycare centres, and this one is by far the most impressive. The staff here are absolutely incredible — they love and care for my babies as if they were their own. As a parent, I feel so lucky to have found this place. My children are excited to go, and it's clear that they feel safe and happy. The centre itself has such a warm, cosy feel, almost like a home day care, but with all the resources, skills, and professional staff you'd expect from a larger facility. It's the perfect balance of personal care and high-quality early childhood education. I'm truly grateful for the environment they've created for my kids. Highly recommend! My son has been attending Wool & Thimble since 2022 and he absolutely loves it. The educators and all the staff are so pleasant and create such a nurturing environment for the all kids and parents. He always looks forward to going and never wants to leave. The activities planned are so thorough creating such an extensive learning experience. We will definitely be sending our future children there and recommend it to other families!

Wool and Thimble School of Early Learning is not just a childcare centre; it’s a nurturing community where children thrive. The educators are dedicated and highly trained, reflecting the exceptional culture fostered by Steph, the passionate owner. Steph has developed an outstanding team, providing strong opportunities for all educators to grow and excel in their careers. This is evident in the leadership team, who have all advanced within the business, ensuring consistent quality and a fun culture throughout the centre. The centre is filled with playfulness which shines throughout. The educators fostered great skills and independence in my son, embracing his quirks of being a different Star Wars character each day. They also offer invaluable life skills, such as hatching chickens and raising them into chooks, where the children could collect eggs for the days food preparation. Additionally, the centre provides both incursions and excursions. My son had great experiences, including visiting a home for the elderly to sing Christmas carols, to seeing a fire engine and sitting on a motorbike. Our experience at Wool and Thimble exceeded all our expectations and I highly recommend it.

The centre itself it’s lovely, especially the outdoor play areas, but it’s the staff that really makes it stand out. They genuinely know and care about the kids, they cater activities for their specific interests and arrange incredible incursion and excursions. We are so grateful we found this centre and have loved being part of its little community!

My boy has been at this centre since the day it first opened and it has been a blessing. It’s extremely well run, the staff are fantastic and always strive to make the kids days the best they can. So much love and engagement given by them, and the communication is great. I like to think that my child is thriving in life because of his parents but it is definitely also down to all the love and learning he has received from this place too. It’s a great little community.
