Maggie Scheerhoorn (Google Review)

"I love this centre! As an ex educator, I am very picky on daycare centres. My daughter had a rough start to childcare and we had to remove her from another centre. Since beginning here she has absolutely thrived. She has become a very competent and capable toddler. The staff are all so lovely, super friendly, welcoming and noticeably great relationships with children. Jess, the Director, is so accommodating. She goes above and beyond to ensure the families needs are being met. Everything is handled so professionally and it's easy to talk to and resolve any problems you may experience. I love the daily updates we receive and my daughter loves to go to daycare. The activities the children get to participate in are fantastic, my toddler has so much fun. There's always something new and exciting for them to explore outside. The educators are really good at including and extending on the children's interests and receptive to parent input. I am very happy with the care she is receiving here, cannot fault them."

Melanie Bloomer (Google Review)

"We initially chose this centre because they have chickens! I’m so glad that we did. Our daughter started in the nursery at 10 months old and is now doing the kindy program. The director, Jess, and all of the educators are fantastic. All of the educators know all of the children and you can tell how much they care that the children are looked after, happy, having fun and learning. My daughter’s personal interests have been observed and then used to develop activities for all of the kids to engage in - I love that it’s not just a standard set of activities but it’s always changing to meet the needs and interests of all of the different children in each room. Very inclusive and homely. I highly recommend this centre!"

"Charlie started at Belmont when he was only 8 months. Out of the four places we looked at our heart just clicked with this place. He is now in pre kindy and we feel like a genuine part of the Belmont family. I can talk to any of the educators on site and they can talk to me about how Charlie is going. They genuinely love and care for the kids but are also highly professional educators constantly giving Charlie new challenges and learning experiences."

Sarah Mandikos (Google Review)

"Warm yet professional- I just love this centre and their staff. Everything is provided (food, nappies, sunscreen, sheets) but still the fees are so affordable!! My little boy is only 8months old and I have no concerns dropping him off, in fact he just crawls away and starts playing!"

Roslynne Christensen (Facebook Review)

"Lovely homely centre, where all of the staff go above and beyond to provide the highest level of care and education!! After 7 years here, they are almost an extension of our family."

Diane (Google Review)

"I highly recommend Belmont Early Education Centre. The educators and staff are amazing and genuinely care about the interests and development of each child. Everyday we get updates on what the class has been learning and all the fun they have been having. Our son loves going there, could not speak more highly of this centre."

Louise Pattie (Facebook Review)

"My three daughters went through this centre other the last nine and a half years. The staff are awesome. They have always gone above and beyond. My kids felt loved here. The place is also more affordable than others. I highly recommend Belmont Early Education Centre."

Programs

Programs

Nursery Room (6 weeks to 2 years)

Our nursery room provides care for babies that are aged from 6 week to 2 years and has a ratio of 1 educator to 4 babies with the maximum of 8 babies. We believe that this is creating a safe and warm environment with the highest quality of care allowing the babies to develop a nurturing bond with the educators. The nursery educators in the room believe in having flowing communication to allow them to build a trusting and mutual relationship with families. This will create a continuity of care for each child and their flexible and individual routines.

Junior Toddler Room (15months to 2.5 years)

Our junior toddler Room provides care for children aged from 15 months to 2.5 years and has a ratio of 1 educator to 4 children with a maximum of 8 children. We provide an environment that is stimulating, nurturing and exciting which allows them to develop friendships and a sense of agency. The children start to develop their own independence and their self-identities as they demonstrate a sense of belonging and comfort in their environment.

Senior Toddler Room (2.5 to 3.5 years)

Our Pre-Kindy room provides care for children aged 2.5 years to 3.5 years and has a ratio of 1 educator to 5 children with a maximum of 10 children. The learning environment is a play based and developed on the children strengths, interest and need of the children. These opportunities allow them to be open to new challenges and discoveries and broaden their understanding of the world in which they live.

Pre-Kindy Room (3 to 4 years)

Our Pre-Kindy room provides care for children aged 3 years to 4 years and has a ratio of 1 educator to 11 children. We provide an environment that allows children to be open to new challenges and discoveries, increasingly co-operate and work collaboratively with others. This builds children to become curious and enthusiastic participants in their learning and understand different ways of contributing through play and projects that are taking place in their environment.

Kindergarten Room (4 to 5 years) - Qld Government Approved "Free" Kindy Program

Our Pre Prep room provides care for children that are 4-5 years of age with a ratio of 1 Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) to 11 children. Our program is developed and implement by a Bachelor qualified early childhood teacher and is based around the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines. The learning environment is full of enriched opportunities to help grow, support and guide the children skills in preparation for school.

Playgrounds / Permaculture

We are fortunately located on a large block of land and are able to provide 3 separate play areas for children of different ages groups. This allows the children to interact with predominantly only children of similar ages and sizes plus ensuring play equipment is also age appropriate.

Another unique feature of our centre we are proud of is our permaculture area, which has various herb/vegetable gardens and chickens. This area provides us with a wonderful opportunity to teach the children about how food is grown and experience an environment which they may not generally have a chance to see growing up in the city.
