We absolutely adore this centre. Our kids are always so excited to see their educators everyday, which just shows how beautiful of a bond they create with the kids. Seeing how much our kids are learning, seeing their personalities and confidence grow, truly makes me grateful for such amazing educators!

Centre philosophy

Centre philosophy

At the heart of Roseberry House is a strong commitment to providing a small, family-oriented environment where every child is known, valued and nurtured.

We believe in taking the approach to be a home away from home, caring for your child as if they were our own. We work with families to ensure each child's needs are met, respecting the values of each family dynamic by providing the children with the highest quality of care allowing each and every child to reach their fullest potential, by enhancing all areas of growth and development no matter the stage a child is at in an inclusive environment.

We do this by striving to provide a highly positive environment where all members of staff, children and families are made to feel welcome and are considered to share an important place within the Roseberry House family, Care and education are interwoven and founded on building strong relationships with the children, strengthened by families and educators, sharing responsibility and collaboration with our greater community.

The family unit as a whole is so important to us. We take the time to get to know each child and family so we can help the children develop and grow during their time here at Roseberry House. Children are given a voice within our programs to ensure they're reaching their fullest potential and feel heard throughout their learning journey as well as having input into our centre menu. We use the children's and families' voices and incorporate this into our planning and programming, this allows Educators to thoughtfully plan programs to provide the children with the best possible opportunities to become independent learners and develop a strong sense of self through our play based curriculum, whilst also ensuring they are ready for their next steps when they leave us, encouraging not only learning but the development of social skills and trusting relationships that help children grow with confidence, formulating the whole child.

We acknowledge our shared histories and the contributions of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, who we recognise as the traditional owners of ur land, embedding their ways into our daily practises and environments. We value all walks of life and cultures understanding our sense of beloning.

Kindergarten/Preschool Programs

Kindergarten/Preschool Programs

Led by a qualified Early Childhood Teacher, our Funded Kindergarten Program prepares your child for a confident transition to primary school. The curriculum seamlessly integrates the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline (QKLG), focusing on early literacy, numeracy, emotional resilience, and independent self-care skills.

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

We deliver a child-led, play-based curriculum guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). Rather than forcing rigid schedules, we focus on the "process" of doing rather than the "product" of completion. Through open-ended resources and loose-parts play, children build critical problem-solving, social, and emotional skills naturally.

Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition

Healthy bodies fuel active minds. We provide nutritious, freshly prepared meals and snacks daily, catering carefully to all dietary requirements and allergies. Our interactive cooking experiences invite children to explore diverse textures and international flavors, building a lifelong positive relationship with healthy food.

Families have input within our service and are viewed as our most valuable partners in a child's learning journey. We actively encourage parents to share their voices, ideas, and cultural traditions to help shape our daily programs. By collaborating closely, we ensure that the care and education we provide directly reflect the values, beliefs, and unique needs of every individual family.

Parent communication and involvement

We believe early education is a partnership with families. Through our interactive app, you will receive real-time updates on your child's day, including photos, learning stories, meals, and sleep routines. We welcome your input, invite families to share their cultures, and keep open lines of communication so you always feel connected.

We love Roseberry's. River has been going since she was 6m old and leaves for Prep next year. They have been really supportive with both her medical needs and also with helping River thrive and be her best.
The rooms and yards are always clean and tidy, all the toys and play equipment are in great condition and checked regularly.
Any issues we have had are dealt with swiftly and with care. I know Nic and the other educators love the kids they teach and care for just by watching them interact.
We will miss them next year.

We’ve had such a wonderful experience at this centre, and I especially want to mention Nicola, the Centre Director. Honestly, if it wasn’t for Nicola, I don’t think I would have chosen this centre. From the very first time we met her, she was so warm, welcoming and made me feel completely comfortable about having my little one there.

Nicola is genuinely amazing. She always takes the time to listen, chat with you about your child and work through any questions or concerns you might have. She’s incredibly accommodating and you can tell she genuinely cares about the children and their families.

As a parent, having a director who is approachable, understanding and makes you feel heard makes such a huge difference. I always feel comfortable going to Nicola with anything, big or small.

We’re so happy with the centre and really grateful to have Nicola there. She is such an asset to the centre and I couldn’t recommend her and the team highly enough! ❤️
