We have been sending our kids here for over 18 months and it is a wonderful community to be apart of, and the staff are fantastic. Kids love playing in the outdoor areas and have learnt a lot whilst being here.

Awelc is a smaller center, however it is much preferred. All staff are friendly and have your child’s best interest at heart. My child is thriving and enjoys everyday they get to go to ‘day care’. Highly recommended!

About Our Cooperative
Established in 1988, Airport West Early Learning Cooperative (AWELC) is a small, not-for-profit community centre.
We pride ourselves on our highly experienced and passionate educators, as well as our inviting, engaging and relaxed setting.
We are run by our Centre Manager, and a voluntary Committee of Management, made up of the parents of the children enrolled at our centre
We provide a safe, nurturing environment where your children can grow, learn, and flourish.
At AWELC we cater for children from 3 months of age through to school age and we provide both a 3yo and a 4yo Funded Kindergarten programs as part of our Curriculum.
We are passionate about providing the best start for your child. We understand children begin their learning journey from the moment they are born, and the first five years of a child's life are vital for development and their experiences through these early years help establish their core values, sense of identity, and self-worth.
Our educational curriculum supports enquiry and playbased learning opportunities in natural and responsive environments. Our Early Learning programs are designed to provide child-led, intentional teaching and guided play learning opportunities that are guided by the children’s interests and strengths. The skills and experiences children gain during their early years have a profound impact on their future learning and wellbeing.
Airport West Early Learning Cooperative, its Committee, Management, Employees and Volunteers are committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children, with zero tolerance to child abuse.
