When we moved to the area we were worried about how our son would settle in at a new centre but were so lucky to get him enrolled at Elm St ELC. After his first week, he said with excitement “I love my new school mumma”. Mildred, Sara, Helen, Jacquie and all the staff are so professional, warm and genuinely supportive of the children’s development and individual needs. We couldn’t be happier and can’t wait for our second son to start at the centre soon! Big thanks to all the amazing team there!

We have our daughter in two different care settings - for profit and not for profit .As a not for profit centre Elm st stands out for its community-first approach. The the staff are fantastic consistently patient and respectful with the all the kids. There’s very little turnover the educators have been there for years! which says a lot about how well the center is run. I also appreciate how transparent they are about how funds are used—being a nonprofit, it’s clear that resources go straight into the programs and facilities. That kind of integrity is hard to come by. Highly recommend!!!

I am so grateful to Elm Street for being a quality childcare centre with the most caring and knowledgeable educators. I can truly trust that every day my son is valued, cared for and well fed! Our little one has had a wonderful experience here! The staff is incredibly caring and attentive, and they create such a warm, nurturing environment. Our child has learned so much. Highly recommend to any parent looking for a safe and supportive place.

Both of my daughters attend this childcare centre — one in the nursery room and the other in the preschool room — and we couldn’t be happier with the care they receive. When our younger daughter first started, she had trouble settling and wasn’t sleeping well. But thanks to the warm and attentive educators, she quickly adjusted. She now has solid naps during the day and has made amazing progress in her development — from grabbing objects and feeding herself to advancing in her gross motor skills. Our older daughter joined the centre at 3.5 years old and loved it from the start. Drop-offs have always been smooth, and she comes home with the most creative handcrafts — not just commercial-style paintings but thoughtfully guided activities that clearly support learning. We’ve seen so much growth in her ability to express her emotions, communicate her needs, and develop fine motor skills like handwriting. All the educators here are kind, patient, and genuinely love the children. I can’t recommend this centre more — it’s truly been a wonderful environment for both of our girls.

Elm Street is the best!! Highly recommend. My eldest went through and my youngest is currently there. The educators are so dedicated and build genuine connections with the kids. I have really seen both kids grow in confidence there (after I’d sent my eldest to another centre and that hadn’t been the case). My kids always left/leave at the end of the day with a huge smile. A great community.

Elm street is the best daycare centre by far in all Sydney-they earned the award to prove it too for our area. I have had my eldest in there, and now my youngest too. We are extremely lucky they are within local vicinity. I have no hesitation in recommending to my family and friends.

A calm and nurturing environment. Both my kids went here after inspecting and trying out others. I recommend it to any parent. It has a healthy and serene vibe that rubs off on everyone.

From the very beginning, the educators made sure he felt comfortable, and now he absolutely loves going to the centre! The care and attention he receives are outstanding. The educators are warm, attentive, and keep us updated regularly—not just with daily routines but also with his development, activities, and progress. Their app is fantastic for tracking his sleeping, eating, play, and learning milestones. They even help us set personalised learning goals to keep him engaged and excited. One of the things we love most is the nurturing environment. The meals are nutritious and well-loved by the kids, and as a community-run centre, there are plenty of ways for families to get involved and share feedback. We couldn’t be happier with our experience at Elm St, and we highly recommend it to any parent looking for a safe, caring, and enriching place for their child!

Highly recommend this centre- we have had two kids go through, starting when young toddlers to starting school and both had a great experience. Jacquie in the preschool room is an outstanding long standing educator. Being a non profit centre makes such a difference!
