I am so glad I enrolled my son here. I initially enrolled him somewhere else, but I didn't get the right vibe, so I carried on my search. When I went and viewed Goodstart, and spoke to some of the staff and had a look around I knew it was the right one. My son got off to a very emotional start and his teachers were amazing with him. Now its like a second home. He absolutely loves it there. We've received nothing but support, love, care and patience. Its a wonderful intimate setting and my son is thriving there. I recommend highly to anyone looking for a daycare. The photos aren't the best as I didn't want to show anyone's faces.

Our high-quality, play based preschool curriculum is delivered by Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teachers. Our teachers tailor their programs to ensure all children develop the confidence and social and emotional skills needed for a smooth transition to school. Through play, our Early Childhood Teachers facilitate children’s learning of important language, literacy, numeracy and creative skills.

The educators at Goodstart Early Learning follow an evidence-based curriculum that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework. Informed by world-leading research, practices and techniques, the curriculum encourages the children’s natural curiosity and engages them in their learning journey.
As the children move through the different rooms in the centre, the curriculum evolves with them. The educators set goals for the children and celebrate as they reach their milestones. At every stage, the educators are tailoring the curriculum and goals to each child’s individual needs.
The curriculum involves different types of learning experiences and styles. From child-led learning to sessions guided by educators, the children participate in small and large group sessions as well as individual play. Most importantly, the children learn through play, developing social skills, confidence and independence in addition to more formal academic skills.
Play is the order of the day of Goodstart Early Learning and the programs at the centre are grounded in a play-based approach. The educators embed teaching and learning into play experiences, helping the children to make sense of the world around them. This is how the children learn about how things work and develop important foundational relationships and skills.
The primarily child-directed, play-based curriculum ensures that the children are engaged in their learning. They are encouraged to take the lead, developing their negotiation, risk taking, problem solving and social skills. The educators observe the children and help to challenge them by extending their learning and interests.

Goodstart Early Learning uses the StoryPark app to connect with parents throughout the day. The educators upload photos and stories to the secure app, which parents can access anytime and anywhere to track their child’s progress.
The approach at the centre is very much based around partnership between families and educators. The educators work with the parents and carers to build strong relationships. They develop trust so the children can feel safe and secure while at the centre. Parents are also encouraged to share their insights and feedback with educators to add depth to the relationship.
The educators observe the children every day and tailor the program around their observations. They share these with parents, so they can feel connected to their child’s progress and also provide feedback that will further enhance their child’s learning experience.
Goodstart Early Learning employs qualified and skilled educators who are dedicated to making a difference to the children in their care. I have been working in the Early Childhood Sector for 23 years and I hold a Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood). I relish working with young children and believe they are central to everything we do. As an early childhood educator, I have learned that children learn best through play in a supportive and inviting environment.
Every day here at Hope Island we strive to create fun and engaging activities to ensure each child is supported through their play. We have a long serving, dedicated and diverse team of qualified educators and we value the input of all families and recognise the potential of all children. We work collaboratively to bring the best learning experiences to the children. Our team understands just how important your children are to you, and we ensure you we take our responsibilities seriously.
We encourage families to be involved in their child’s learning and pride ourselves in open communication and customer satisfaction. We understand that starting at a new centre can be overwhelming. From the first inquiry, we make sure that we address all your questions one by one. We walk families through all the forms and administration that need to be done. This includes enrolment forms, Child Care Subsidy (CCS), explaining subsidies, government caps, centre schedules, our centre menu and more.

We have entrusted 4 of our children to Goodstart Hope Island and can honestly say the centre has been fantastic, from the educators to the ladies at the front desk. A special mention goes to Lenka, a wonderful educator whose warmth and gentle approach helped our little girl settle comfortably. The Storypark app is a great idea, providing daily updates on what your child has been doing. It offers peace of mind knowing they are in good hands and enjoying their day. The centre offers plenty of activities both indoors and outdoors to keep the children engaged and support their learning. Our children have left Goodstart equipped with the skills they needed to succeed in prep. We’re truly grateful to the entire team for their dedication and care.

Both our sons have had the most amazing time here. There is always fun activities for them to do, which also teaches him. The staff update us daily and we get amazing pics and sometimes a video. They have more love for food since starting the centre, and vocabulary has come on a lot. They have great little friends, and we are confident we made the best choice with selecting this early learning centre. In the 5 years both our sons have been here, many of the staff have remained the same, so it feels like extended family.
