Curriculum and programs

Curriculum and programs

The educators at Goodstart Early Learning follow an evidence-based curriculum that aligns with the Early Years Learning Framework. Informed by world-leading research, practices and techniques, the curriculum encourages the children’s natural curiosity and engages them in their learning journey.

As the children move through the different rooms in the centre, the curriculum evolves with them. The educators set goals for the children and celebrate as they reach their milestones. At every stage, the educators are tailoring the curriculum and goals to each child’s individual needs.

The curriculum involves different types of learning experiences and styles. From child-led learning to sessions guided by educators, the children participate in small and large group sessions as well as individual play. Most importantly, the children learn through play, developing social skills, confidence and independence in addition to more formal academic skills.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement

Goodstart Early Learning uses the StoryPark app to connect with parents throughout the day. The educators upload photos and stories to the secure app, which parents can access anytime and anywhere to track their child’s progress.

The approach at the centre is very much based around partnership between families and educators. The educators work with the parents and carers to build strong relationships. They develop trust so the children can feel safe and secure while at the centre. Parents are also encouraged to share their insights and feedback with educators to add depth to the relationship.

The educators observe the children every day and tailor the program around their observations. They share these with parents, so they can feel connected to their child’s progress and also provide feedback that will further enhance their child’s learning experience.

The educators hold relevant qualifications, including the Kindergarten and Preschool Program teachers who are university qualified. The educators are lifelong learners, participating in regular and ongoing professional development to enhance their skills. They are encouraged to upskill, learning about the latest research and thinking in the sector. They can then bring this knowledge back to the centre to share with their colleagues for the benefit of the children.

This is a fantastic centre, with a great team and excellent equipment and facilities. The Nursery educators supported my son through separation anxiety and transitioned him to toddler room at his own pace. The educators are creative, and responsive to questions and concerns and my son clearly feels safe with them. Great communication through Storypark and educators are always willing to take some time to chat about my sons day and development. Rachel, the centre facilitator is approachable and knowledgeable and leading a great team. Very grateful that I can leave my son in a safe caring space where he enjoys learning and connecting with kids and educators alike.

Our son Laine has attended Goodstart since 2019 and what a ride it has been. Absolutely love this centre and the staff who are always willing to go above and beyond. My son has always struggled with drop offs and they have always made this easier on us as parents. Couldn’t recommend a better centre.

GoodStart Moulden has been a blessing to our family. Our son has had developmental delays due to temporary hearing loss and the team there have been very supportive. They give constant feedback and are keen and willing to implement suggestions that have been made by our speech pathologist and occupational therapist. They have even allowed the therapist to come to the centre for sessions. The team there are like a second family to our son and the enthusiasm, care and love that they give to looking after the children there is very evident. I would recommend this centre to everyone.

It's a hard decision picking what childcare will be best, but I made the right decision to go with good start moulden. The staff are amazing from the front office right through to the educators. My girl was only 6months when she started and she is always so excited to go and see her friends (the nursery staff always discuss everything with you - they really feel like family). The activities, the food and the facility are all so good. I recommend this centre to anyone wanting a fun safe and secure environment for you kids.
