Our twins have been attending Westmead Early Education Centre (WEEC) since February 2025. We have had a positive experience so far and are happy with the milestones the twins are achieving at WEEC. The Educators are warm, friendly, and genuinely caring, and they have built strong rapport with both the children and parents. We sometimes visit at different times of the day to observe how the twins behave and interact with others. It’s lovely to see how comfortable and happy the children are with the staff each day. The centre is clean, welcoming, and well maintained. There are plenty of varied learning experiences and activities that keep the children engaged and support their development in different ways. Our twins particularly enjoy arts and crafts, and spending their free-time outside in the sand-pit and interacting with the chickens. We’ve also been impressed by the variety of nutritious foods offered to the children. We look forward to the weekly menu updates and are grateful that our twins get to experience such diverse flavours. One area for improvement would be communication consistency. On the odd occasion, there has been a disparity between the information logged in the Xplor app and what is communicated verbally at pick-up, which can cause confusion. Despite this, Sultana and the staff are quick to resolve any miscommunication. Moving forward, it would be nice to know if staff would not be returning to the centre in the new year or if they are being transferred internally to another centre so that, we as parents, can express our gratitude in-person and say good-bye properly. Thank you for providing a wonderful Service to the community and thank you to all of the Educators who work tirelessly everyday to support our twins at daycare. - Christine and Peter

About Westmead Early Education Centre

Westmead Early Education Centre (WEEC) has a long-standing reputation of providing exceptional care and education for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. With high educator to child ratios and a positive, engaging learning environment, the children explore the world around them and develop their unique skills, interests and strengths. The educators develop trusting and collaborative relationships with the children and their families and foster a strong sense of community within the Service.

WEEC is an architecturally designed purpose-built centre and features a Preschool Centre and an Early Learning Centre. The Early Learning Centre is a beautifully renovated ‘home-like’ cottage with a natural garden learning environment. The Preschool Centre, is spacious and includes well-resourced learning facilities. Our in-house cook prepares fresh healthy meals using produce from our vegetable garden and eggs from our chickens. Our huge outdoor garden learning environment is our ‘wow’ factor with many children referring to it as the “park”.

Meet the team

Meet the team

At Westmead Early Education Centre, we pride ourselves on our exceptional team and that we employ more staff per child ratio and more qualified staff than the regulatory authorities require. Management and our leadership team are all early childhood teachers. As lifelong learners, our educators all engage in ongoing professional learning and career development. Our Service runs in-house training for our team and encourages and supports educators to participate in external training and higher qualifications.

Many of our teachers and educators have worked within our Sydney Early Education Centres for 5 to 15 years. From music to art, language and STEM, our educators each bring a diverse set of skills, knowledge, and experiences to our Service. They work collaboratively to combine their skills to ensure the best possible outcome for the children.

Our team are highly qualified and experienced and display a natural affinity and love for children. We believe these qualities are vital to your children’s happiness, care and education.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement

From a child’s first orientation, the educators at Westmead Early Education Centre work with every family to foster respectful, collaborative and supportive relationships. These relationships continue to flourish and grow through a child’s first time at the centre and help them to develop a strong sense of belonging. Most of all, the educators value the diverse knowledge and experiences of every child and their family.

Families are warmly encouraged to participate in the centre’s programs and activities. This includes sharing a delicious chef-prepared meal with their child, participation in special events throughout the year, or sharing a special skill or interest. The centre also hosts events that provide families with opportunities to connect with each other and get to know the other families in the Service, for example, family picnics.

Educators share updates and learning about each child through the Storypark and Xplor apps to keep parents connected to their child’s time at the centre. The Service also holds various information sessions and meetings throughout the year that encourage parental input into the program and curriculum. In addition to 1:1 meetings to discuss their child’s progress, parents are always welcome each day to chat with the friendly WEEC team.

We are extremely grateful to the wonderful team at the centre for the care, patience, and support they provided to our son. A very special thank you to Selina, whose guidance and encouragement made a huge difference in my son’s development. She always approached challenges with practical solutions and reassurance, especially during the potty-training journey. We also sincerely thank Suneetha, Rozina, Mathew, Probleen, Anuja, and Anu for continuously supporting and monitoring his progress. Thank you to Sulthana for the strong leadership that creates such a warm and professional environment, and to Afra for always being kind and supportive. My son has grown into a happier and more confident child, and we are truly grateful for the positive foundation the centre has given him. Highly recommended!

Two daughters have attended WEEC (one daughter all the way from the baby room through to senior pre-school) and we've nothing but praise for all they've done. They are attentive, caring, supporting and their communication is amazing. They adore our girls and equally, our girls have adored their educators.

I started WEEC Wenty early this year and it’s the best decision I have made. All the teachers and staffs were very lovely and professional and my child was in seniors room so special thanks to Sunita, Selina, Mathew and Arifa… I already miss them and I highly recommend WEEC for their high standards and loving nature. Their snack and lunch time is outstanding they give generous amount and it tastes amazing..Thanks to Rosina,Anuja, Prabalin, Afra and Sultana for a warm welcome everyday and make us feel comfortable😍🥰😍
