Over the past 18 months, our experience at this centre has been deeply disappointing, and I feel compelled to share it so other families can make informed choices. Safety Concerns: Once our daughter began walking, she had frequent and sometimes serious falls — including hitting her head on concrete due to poorly placed equipment. At 14 months, we even found her standing alone on an adult chair. At one point she had 5 bruises on her face from various incidents. These incidents raised serious questions about supervision. Understaffing: We regularly witnessed non-compliant staff-to-child ratios, once seeing just two educators with 15 babies. Things only improved after I made a formal complaint. Sun Safety & Clothing: Despite repeated concerns in the summer, our daughter was often found outside with no hat, and was photographed in full sun without a hat. Paint-stained clothing (that could not be removed) was almost daily — smocks were never used, despite claims they were “offered.” Security Lapses: My mum picked up our daughter many times before the centre ever questioned her identity — a major security oversight that should not happen. Food & Snacks: The food was disappointing — mostly store-bought. Excessive afternoon crackers also interfered with dinner. Requests to limit them were ignored. Other Concerns: • Inappropriate use of pens on my daughter’s hands by educators • Poor hygiene — often picked up without shoes/socks (even in winter, picking her up with freezing feet) or with wrong socks • Adult bandages used on sensitive skin despite warnings due to bad reaction • Rude and careless admin — an error on our exit date caused us to lose CCS for a week While some issues may seem minor, the constant accumulation over 18 months revealed a serious lack of care, poor management, and little willingness to improve. We’ve since moved to another centre.

My son has been attending this childcare centre for the past year, and the care they provide is amazing. They regularly conduct different learning activities and keep us updated on his progress. We can definitely feel the warmth of the staff as soon as we walk into the centre.

I would love to give Goodstart Rostrevor a well-deserved 5-star review. I am incredibly grateful that my son, Zac, has the opportunity to attend this amazing childcare centre. As first-time parents, sending our child to daycare was a big milestone for us, and to be honest, we were quite nervous and anxious about it. We did extensive research and preparations beforehand, but the more we read—especially on social media—the more concerns we had, as we came across various challenges that childcare centres often face. Despite our initial apprehension, we chose Goodstart Rostrevor not only because it was conveniently located but also because of the positive reviews it had received. From the very beginning, during our orientation visits, we felt incredibly welcomed and reassured by the warmth and professionalism of the educators. The support we received from Suzanne, Stella, and Wing was invaluable—they patiently answered all our questions and concerns, which made a world of difference for us as first-time parents. Zac’s primary educators, Nikki and Anjana, have been absolutely wonderful. Their dedication, patience, and genuine care have played a crucial role in helping Zac transition from feeling uncertain to now absolutely loving his time at daycare—so much so that he doesn’t even want to leave when we come to pick him up! This truly speaks volumes about the nurturing environment they have created for him. Additionally, I want to express my gratitude to other educators like Nan, as well as those whose names I may not have remembered, but who have all contributed to Zac’s happiness and development at Goodstart Rostrevor. I wholeheartedly recommend this centre to any parents looking for a caring, supportive, and high-quality childcare experience. I have no doubt that this time at Goodstart Rostrevor will become a cherished memory for our family—especially for Zac. Thank you to the entire team for all your dedication and hard work!

My little one has been attending Goodstart Rostrevor since he was 7 months old. All educators are nurturing and supportive that gives a peace of mind that he is in good hands. It is amazing to see my little one's growth each day, particularly language skills (as he is bilingual at home). Within the centre, they provide "play based learning" which helps my little one to building on his natural curiosity and imagination.

Stella and the team at Goodstart Rostrevor provide a fun, caring and nurturing environment for my son while he’s in their care. The team is so friendly and welcoming and have delivered first-time parents like me with a stress free experience. My son has flourished since starting there and always comes home happy and well fed!

My child came to Goodstart Rostrevor when she was 10 months old. She love this place and she learned some skills in this month. Such as clap hands, eat by herself and walk with the walker. The educators are very patient and passion. They also have weekly learning plans for children to build up different achievements. In conclusion, a good place for children to grow up.

My son came to goodstart when he was 1 year and 8 months old. Now he is 3 years and 4 months old and still at goodstart. He is very happy here. Educators are patient, Because my son's English is not good, the educators are always patient to teach him and accompany him.

Goodstart Rostrevor is amazing! The facilities are so nice and well thought out and cater for the interests of each age group. The staff are wonderful and take the time to get to know each child. My son loves his past and present educators and I feel at ease leaving my son in their care. He amazes me with what he learns every single day. The centre director, Stella, goes above and beyond and I am so grateful for her support of my son. Nothing is ever too much trouble! Goodstart Rostrevor is a lovely community to be included in and is a childcare centre that I would highly recommend to everyone.

Our experience with Goodstart Rostrevor has been absolutely wonderful. The educators are warm, attentive, and genuinely care about the children’s well-being and development. My son loves the engaging activities and has grown so much in confidence and skills since starting there. The communication from the team is excellent, keeping us informed and involved every step of the way. We feel so lucky to have found such a nurturing and supportive environment for our son!
