The educators are so caring and welcoming, and our son absolutely loves going every day. He is always learning and developing new skills, which gives us so much confidence in the care he’s receiving. Communication between staff and parents is excellent, keeping us informed and involved in his progress.

Meet the team

Meet the team

With a BA (Hons) in Early Childhood Studies and 26 years in the field, I've been proud to be part of the Edge Flagstaff Hill team since we opened our doors in early 2025. Play is where I see children build the real foundations - independence, confidence, social skills - and that's what I'm passionate about fostering here.

Teaching has always been my true calling. Watching children grow, discover, and develop their own unique skills from such a young age never stops feeling rewarding. I firmly believe learning starts well before a child ever sets foot in school, and that those early years lay the groundwork for lifelong development and wellbeing. That belief runs through everything I do... mentoring our educators, working closely with families, and partnering with the wider community to make sure every child gets the support they need to thrive.

If you're in Flagstaff Hill or the southern Adelaide area, we'd love to meet you.

- Anna, Centre Director

Safety

Safety

Edge Early Learning Flagstaff Hill is unwavering in our commitment to ensuring that our centre provides a secure and nurturing environment where your child’s wellbeing is always our top priority.

  • Our dedicated team prioritises safeguarding children through daily practices, educational programs, and adherence to national child safety principles.
  • Our 3–5 years rooms benefit from a 1:9 ratio of educators to children (versus the regulated 1:11 ratio), meaning your child will receive an enhanced level of individualised care and supervision.
  • Our supervisory and senior staff complete regular Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting training.
  • We proudly work with Life Ed, Bravehearts and other similar child safety advocate organisations to strengthen the personal safety education within our programming.
  • Our S.A.F.E. framework (Spot, Act, Fix, Explain) requires staff to speak up if they see or suspect something isn’t right. With S.A.F.E. in place, we have created a culture of accountability where reporting is expected and encouraged.
  • Our Active Supervision policy ensures all team members understand the importance of Plan, Position, Look & Listen.

Highly recommend! All the staff are amazing and kind. I value how they care for my little one and they always hold her during the drop offs which can be emotional for bubs and me. Im reassured by how the team handles challenges and are always compassionate and caring! Very grateful to all the wonderful carers!

We have recently moved to edge Flagstaff Hill and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Our son was very apprehensive leaving his old centre but the whole team have helped his transition so much. Kate, Priyanka and Puja in the kindy room have been so supportive of our son and Anna and Dani the centre leaders have been so welcoming. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.
