Reiterating the recent complaints shared below about the approved provider "genius" (*eyeroll*) who operate the centre from outside the ACT. Do not bother touring this centre next week because everyone you meet will no longer be there the week following, it will be a whole new team, unfamiliar with working with each other and strangers to the children who will be strangers to each other, very sad thought. They were paid to take over this centre from G8 because it was losing money, so the first cut they make is actually not paying the staff at all!? I felt ashamed when I discovered that these staff were still caring for my kids without being paid wages and super for weeks at a time. They've had enough now and I don't blame them. How Genius remains an "approved provider" to deliver taxpayer subsidised care is a mystery to us all. Complaints have been made to the "responsible" people/bodies/politicians but it all falls on deaf ears. Just the outright disrespect, lies, and ghosting is appalling. But they will be ready at the door (metaphorically) following this current exodus of staff and families to welcome in the next victims of their scam because who's stopping them?

So incredibly sad to be leaving our childcare family at the centre. Unfortunately, the centre has deteriorated since taken over by genius early in the year. I had read bad reviews about genius at the time of takeover, about staff not being paid and centres closing with no notice, and now unfortunately our experience has supported these negative views. The actual day to day staff at the centre have been so wonderful and I can’t praise them enough for the wonderful care they have provided my son for 2 years, since before genius took over. Unfortunately, with the centre changes and high staff turn over, there is so much uncertainty and we have made the tough but necessary decision to move our son to a different centre, because we don’t know who will be there to look after our son and even if they will have staff to open the doors on any given morning beyond December.

THIS IS A REVIEW OF GENIUS COMPANY. NOT THE CENTER, THE CENTER WAS AMAZING AND WE WHERE VERY HAPPY. After we discontinued our services (only due to us wanting our child to learn Chinese in a Chinese speaking daycare), we got a $2600 bill. We called up GENIUS straight away and they assured my partner that everything is fine and to ignore the email. After a few emails, we were advised that they will be engaging debt collectors to chase us and charging interest. After some weeks and multiple email requesting incorrect money, the correct bill of $900 was sent to us which we paid immediately. I don’t want to damage the centres reputation. I asked where I should leave the review for GENIUS, to which I got the answer of, you can’t. It’s a company system issue not the daycare center. They did everything they could to resolve it as soon as possible. GENIUS to threaten customers with debt collectors when it was the incorrect amount sent, this is not acceptable.

Our son loves his time at Blinky Bill, Staff are wonderful, they show their dedication and care making us feel very welcomed. The team has made the transition for him easy as the staff made this experience less stressful and have given our family a sense of ease during the whole process. The regular updates we get on Xplor of our sons daily activities further demonstrates the staffs professionalism and passion for looking after and getting to know our little ones. Discriminative manager and very unprofessional staff😑

These guys are really good but they cost a fair bit and always seem to increase the price if there is any increase to subsidy that counters it out and people end up paying more.

This is such a lovely place. The centre director is refreshing and honest and I wouldn't trust anyone else to care and support my child. On my first visit I was amazed to see how connected the educators and teachers were with the children. I have always found everyone there to be professional but also very genuine and empathetic and I'm always kept up to date.

My daughter attends blinky bill and i can not talk highly enough about the level of care and support the staff and director has given us. I wouldn't want my daughter in the care of any other people.

Choosing Blinky Bill for my child is the best decision i made. Educators are all passionate and Mala (director) assisted us from the start. No wonder everyone are happy to be part of Blinky Bill in Gowrie.

Blinky Bill Early Childhood Centre is a great daycare. I have felt confident that when my children are at the centre, they are in safe and in caring hands. Blinky Bill staff have eased the transition to daycare in which both of my children struggled with, now they go and come home happy. The staff are a diverse group of wonderful people who are all devoted to caring, nurturing and educating children. They are always up for a chat and happily listen to any concerns (very proactive- thanks Sam). Over the last year there has been massive improvement in holding staff, general organisation and the indoor and outdoor spaces (fantastic outdoor space). Thanks to the Centre Manager, Mala.
