The Learning Cottage offers care and education between the ages of 0-6 years. We are open 7:00am- 6:00pm Monday-Friday and operate 52 weeks a year.
We pride ourselves on our boutique, home like environment, focusing on meaningful relationships, high-quality education, full nutritional catering and our outstanding team of educators.
The Preschool Room
Our Team of Bachelor Qualified Educators lead a preschool program driven by the children’s interests, ultimately shaping an environment of play-based learning.
We understand the importance of school readiness and have crafted a program to be inclusive of the expectations of local schools, and most importantly the developmental, social and emotional readiness of our children.
School Readiness
“School readiness doesn’t necessarily mean that children need to be able to read, write and do basic maths before starting school. School readiness is about the development of the child, their ability to problem solve socially, regulate their emotions, be confident in their actions while having the ability to participate and learn in a classroom setting.
At The Learning Cottage our school readiness program is developed in reference to The Early Years Framework and with local schools, ensuring that our children and families are provided with the necessary skills for their transition into school.
Through play-based learning, reflection and strong communication with our families, we work as a team to discover areas of development and strengths in our children.”
The Preschool Program is also supported by extended hours of care.
