The Child

The Family

The Educators
Our educators are thoughtful, professional, and deeply committed to supporting every child’s development. We see ourselves as guides and facilitators who respond to children’s interests and extend their learning through purposeful experiences. By embedding early literacy, numeracy, and thinking skills into our daily program, we prepare children with the tools they need for formal schooling—while keeping their sense of wonder and agency at the heart of all we do. Our passionate and experienced educators have strong ties to the local community, with many having supported families for decades. Led by Lisa, our dedicated Director with over 10 years of experience in early childhood education, and supported by Jamie, our Educational Consultant who brings current research insights through his PhD studies, the team works collaboratively to create warm, inspiring environments where children can thrive, explore, and reach their full potential.

Communication is nurtured through ongoing engagement, daily updates, and our Family Communication App, OWNA, ensuring families stay informed and connected. Our School Readiness program is carefully curated and designed to support children transitioning to primary school, fostering academic skills, social-emotional growth, and a lifelong love of learning.

Early Literacy (PreLit Program): An evidence-based program developed by Macquarie University, supporting phonological awareness and oral language through structured, engaging activities that build a foundation for confident reading and writing.
Community Connections: Regular excursions to local schools community spaces, included at no hidden cost, to foster a sense of responsibility, active citizenship, and engagement with the wider community.
Our Senior Preschool program provides a well-rounded, engaging, and intentional learning experience that balances academic preparation with play, creativity, and meaningful relationships, ensuring children are confident and ready for their next stage in education.

In addition to our Kindergarten and Preschool program, Wentworthville Childcare and Preschool offers a wide range of excursions and incursions, all included with no additional or hidden costs, available centre-wide. These experiences are carefully designed to complement children’s learning, build essential skills, and encourage curiosity and engagement in meaningful ways.

Weekly Incursions:

Happy Feet and Ready, Steady, Go, Kids! are two weekly programs that focus on developing children’s physical abilities, coordination, and dynamic movement. Through these activities, children also build teamwork, problem-solving, cognitive skills, and confidence, all in a fun and engaging environment.
Specialised Excursions and Incursions:

Our centre offers tailored experiences that enrich children’s learning across multiple domains. These include:
Cultural Experiences: Regular visits from members of Aboriginal and First Nations communities, providing opportunities for children to engage with culture, storytelling, and traditional knowledge.
Health and Wellbeing Visits: Local professionals introduce children to topics around personal care, nutrition, and wellbeing, fostering lifelong healthy habits.
