Our twins have been at good start for a few months. The teachers, admin and Specially the Director are absolutely amazing. We had to drop kids a couple of times on the days they are normally not scheduled and Lisa made it work even though it was last minute. Highly recommended

Goodstart Keilor Village is conveniently located on Kennedy Street, near Keilor Primary School and local shops. We’re also close to footy grounds and the library, offering opportunities for special events and excursions, including weekly visits to Keilor Primary for our kindergarten children.
Our centre features a beautiful community garden, promoting sustainability, alongside a home-like, nature-inspired environment. We have four rooms and two generously sized outdoor areas, catering for children from six weeks to five years.
The nursery is divided into Nursery One (0-12 months) and Nursery Two (12 months - 2 years). Our Toddler Room serves children aged 2-3 years, and we offer a funded kindergarten programme for 3-5-year-olds, staffed by qualified teachers holding a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. This ensures families access high-quality, accredited education in a long day care setting.
We provide two years of kindergarten, allowing children to develop their skills through play and friendships, ensuring they are ready for school. Weekly incursions include music, movement, yoga, and mini master chef classes.

State Government Approved Programs
Our high-quality, play based preschool curriculum is delivered by Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teachers. Our teachers tailor their programs to ensure all children develop the confidence and social and emotional skills needed for a smooth transition to school. Through play, our Early Childhood Teachers facilitate children’s learning of important language, literacy, numeracy and creative skills.

The primarily child-directed, play-based curriculum ensures that the children are engaged in their learning. They are encouraged to take the lead, developing their negotiation, risk taking, problem solving and social skills. The educators observe the children and help to challenge them by extending their learning and interests.

Goodstart Early Learning uses the StoryPark app to connect with parents throughout the day. The educators upload photos and stories to the secure app, which parents can access anytime and anywhere to track their child’s progress.
The approach at the centre is very much based around partnership between families and educators. The educators work with the parents and carers to build strong relationships. They develop trust so the children can feel safe and secure while at the centre. Parents are also encouraged to share their insights and feedback with educators to add depth to the relationship.
The educators observe the children every day and tailor the program around their observations. They share these with parents, so they can feel connected to their child’s progress and also provide feedback that will further enhance their child’s learning experience.

Hello, my name is Leisa Dzikov and I am the Centre Director at Goodstart Keilor Village. I have worked within the early learning sector for over 22 years, 19 of which I have spent as a Centre Director for Goodstart. I currently hold my Diploma of Community Services.
As a parent of two children, I understand the importance of providing a sense of belonging to each individual child and look forward to building positive respectful relationships with you and your family.
Children are central to everything we do, and we demonstrate this by ensuring we put each child’s best interests first. I’m very passionate about providing high quality care for children and their families. I love seeing the children grow and develop through the first five years of their life which is so important.
My goal as a Centre Director is to deliver a high-quality learning program that allows children to reach their full potential. I’m also committed in providing a warm, comfortable, and relaxed environment where parents and children can feel a sense of belonging. I also believe that collaboration with families, educators and children provides the best opportunity for each child.

Goodstart Keilor Village is an amazing centre that truly feels like a second home. Every educator in the centre genuinely cares for my child and knows her by name, which makes us feel so welcomed and valued. The staff in the nursery room are especially wonderful—kind, attentive, and nurturing. My baby feels incredibly comfortable and settled there. The management team is also fantastic, always ready to support and assist with any questions or needs. The centre is clean, safe, and filled with engaging activities. I have two children who are currently attending the centre and our third will be starting there soon. Goodstart Keilor took away the guilt that I felt returning to work from maternity leave. I know my children are well looked after, fed well, learning more than I can teach at home and most importantly they are both happy. The educators are amazing at their jobs they are all so warm, patient and friendly. They have all taken the time to get to know my children whether they are in their rooms or not and my kids are comfortable seeking comfort from all of the educators at the centre. Leisa and Natasha in the office are super friendly and even though they are busy they will stop and have a chat and a joke at drop off and pick ups. Overall amazing centre and amazing staff, as a family we would highly recommend!
