If I could provide 10 stars, I would. Goodstart early learning has been nothing but exceptional. My daughter transitioned so smoothly coming from a previous childcare where after 10 months she would not settle. Within a week of commencing, she was waving and saying goodbye with no tears. As parents would know, it was such a relief. The staff are so welcoming, it really does feel like a big family and my heart is at ease knowing she’s in great hands. Thank you ☺️

Our educators are highly experienced and well-qualified, delivering programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework. We prioritise open communication with families through Storypark and personal interactions, fostering partnerships in each child’s learning journey.

State Government Approved Programs
Our high-quality, play based preschool curriculum is delivered by Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teachers. Our teachers tailor their programs to ensure all children develop the confidence and social and emotional skills needed for a smooth transition to school. Through play, our Early Childhood Teachers facilitate children’s learning of important language, literacy, numeracy and creative skills.

As the children move through the different rooms in the centre, the curriculum evolves with them. The educators set goals for the children and celebrate as they reach their milestones. At every stage, the educators are tailoring the curriculum and goals to each child’s individual needs.

From child-led learning to sessions guided by educators, the children participate in small and large group sessions as well as individual play. Play is the order of the day of Goodstart Early Learning and the programs at the centre are grounded in a play-based approach. The educators embed teaching and learning into play experiences, helping the children to make sense of the world around them. This is how the children learn about how things work and develop important foundational relationships and skills.
The primarily child-directed, play-based curriculum ensures that the children are engaged in their learning. They are encouraged to take the lead, developing their negotiation, risk taking, problem solving and social skills. The educators observe the children and help to challenge them by extending their learning and interests.
The educators recognise that every child is unique and that they bring their own needs, interests and strengths with them each day. The program is designed to be flexible to cater to these differing needs, ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive at Goodstart.
Goodstart Early Learning uses the StoryPark app to connect with parents throughout the day. The educators upload photos and stories to the secure app, which parents can access anytime and anywhere to track their child’s progress.
The approach at the centre is very much based around partnership between families and educators. The educators work with the parents and carers to build strong relationships. They develop trust so the children can feel safe and secure while at the centre. Parents are also encouraged to share their insights and feedback with educators to add depth to the relationship.
The educators observe the children every day and tailor the program around their observations. They share these with parents, so they can feel connected to their child’s progress and also provide feedback that will further enhance their child’s learning experience.

Hello my name is Venicia Fonceca. I started in the childcare industry in 2003 and have over 16 years of experience at Doveton Early Learning. I started my career as a casual and worked my way up in 2007 to become a Centre Manager.
My favourite part of my day-to-day work is meeting beautiful families and making new discoveries alongside little learners. Every day is a blessing watching children grow and learn through play while they are in our care.
I am blessed to work with a team of educators who are passionate, considerate, educated, inspiring and welcoming. We all enjoy developing connections with children, families and the community and understand that learning is a lifelong journey.

The most recommended childcare centre! I moved out to another childcare provider because we moved house, but I have to move my kids back to GoodStart at Doveton. Thank you so much for such a wonderful team to teach and look after my kids. When I put them at another childcare provider I could not have that peace of mind for my children’s safety. At GoodStart Doveton, I do, and I know they learn every day esp communication, good routine, cultures, diversity, respect, natures, good hygiene, etc. They grow up here move from nursery upwards, we feel belong and we feel like friends if not family. Thank you so much GoodStart Doveton for being the best childcare provider as you are. I highly recommend this centre any day and to anyone who wants a good childcare.
