Obsessed with this school. In my 11 years of having my 3 children enrolled in daycares in QLD and NSW, this is by far the most amazing centre. The facilities and room layout is gorgeous. The staff go above and beyond! Having no family myself, natural elements has become my second family and became my village in helping me raise independent and confident children. I would be lost without this centre and the staff.

Natural Elements Early Learning Centre in Eagleby is a true gem. As a small, boutique, family-owned centre, the level of personalised care and attention they provide is exceptional. From the moment we started, I knew we had found the right place for our bub. The nursery team is simply outstanding – warm, nurturing, and incredibly professional. The environment they’ve created is calm, safe, and filled with love, which has given me so much peace of mind. I always feel reassured that my little one is in the best hands. What really sets this centre apart is the communication. The daily updates and insights into my child’s day go above and beyond anything I expected. I feel so connected and involved, even when I’m not there. We feel truly blessed to be part of the Natural Elements family. Thank you for everything you do – it means the world to us!

The educators at natural elements Eagleby treat your child if they were their own! My little man has flourished and loves interacting with all the activities indoors and out! Being a first time mumma I was very nervous having my child cared for by others, but that’s not the case anymore. It’s such a great environment and experience- a breath of fresh air! 💗

Kindergarten transition

The centre provides a kindergarten transition program that introduces a diverse range of subjects including numeracy, literacy, art, music and science. By responding to children's unique interests and strengths, educators tailor activities to help children build important cognitive, motor, social and emotional skills, and make a seamless transition to primary school.

Extra curricular activities

The centre focuses on holistic development with a range of exciting extracurricular activities including gardening, yoga and computers. These help foster not just the important skills needed for school, but creativity, self-esteem and wellbeing.

Incursions

Occasionally, the centre organises visits from community visits from nurses, dentists, a local animal farm, firefighters, police and people from different cultures backgrounds. This helps children discover the world around them, while building a sense of community and belonging.

Parent communication and involvement

Parent communication and involvement

The centre builds strong relations with families, recognising the importance their roles play on the children and our centre as a whole. Educators view parents as partners, working with them  to provide enriching care for every child. The centre actively encourages family input into programs, policy, procedures and decision making.

The centre keeps families up to date with Kindyhub, a digital communication tool where educators share information on children’s activities as well as photos, notes and stories.

About the curriculum

About the curriculum

The centre bases its curriculum on the new Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF). The framework focuses on delivering a child's learning based on each child’s interests and abilities.

The early years learning framework describes childhood as a time of belonging, being and becoming.

  • Belonging - To my family, friends and the community
  • Being - Learning through play
  • Becoming - A valued member of society; all that I can be
  • Through the framework’s five learning goals, educators assist every child to develop:
  • A strong sense of their identity
  • Connections with their world
  • A strong sense of wellbeing
  • Confidence & involvement in their learning; and
  • Effective communication skills

Learning is based on play and using the child’s interests to expand their play into exploring, discovering, creating, learning social skills and learning all about themselves and the world they live in.

Children’s language and literacy skills are developed by involving children in storytelling, drama, poems and games. Music also plays a role in the curriculum, and children are able to experiment with dancing, singing and exercising their bodies.

Children have the opportunity for both indoor and outdoor play as part of each group‘s routine. The outdoor area is an essential part of the learning environment for children. All age groups utilise specifically designed playgrounds to test their coordination, balance, skills and strength.

Outdoor play involves climbing on our many different play gyms, bikes, ball games, sand-pit play, water play, doll and prams, scooters, swings, balancing beams, growing plants and learning about all the natural elements.
