I had a very unpleasant experience at Hippo friends Childcare Centre. The environment is not supportive for students at all. The director is rude and unapproachable, showing no respect or understanding toward learners who come here to gain practical experience. Instead of guiding and mentoring, the attitude toward students is dismissive and discouraging. The overall atmosphere feels negative, and communication is poor. I wouldn’t recommend this centre to anyone looking for a professional or respectful placement experience.

Highly recommend Hippo's! Our son has been there since he was 8 months and he's now over 3 years old. Friendly, family run centre and the same staff have been there since my son started so they are very consistent staff wise. Our little one runs into day care in the morning, he loves it and has developed so much over the years. Our little girl will also be joining this year.
Hippo’s Friends Early Education and Care offers a high-quality education service in a
nurturing and safe environment for the whole community. Our goal is to support and
develop your child’s natural curiosity, eagerness to learn, and their love of
communication with others.
We employ highly qualified staff including currently five Early Childhood Teachers,
and eight educators holding a Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
Our top-quality teaching programs are play-based; intentional teaching activities across all ages always ensure child safety and learning development.
Our government recognised preschool program prepares children aged 3 – 5 for entry
to their formal school life and includes:
· a strong focus on literacy and pre-reading skills using the Letterland approach
· mathematic skills via a hands-on approach as well as using Montessori materials and teaching techniques
· age appropriate French language lessons
Our large outside play area allows children to explore the world around them best
and introduces sustainable practices. We grow our own vegetables, are sun safe,
and offer children real life experiences such as cooking. We learn about nature
and our environment through regular bush walks and frequent excursions into our
local community and encourage a hands-on exploration of your child’s
surroundings.
A wide range of healthy and nutritious meals, prepared daily on the premises, are
offered; the menu is approved by the Munch & Move program.

children plenty of opportunities to foster this connection. We value parent and
community feedback, input, and engagement. We provide children with the ability
to learn about themselves and their world around them. We place a large
