Sparkways has been amazing with caring for my daughter. they ensure babies feel safe, comfortable and enriched through their many different learning activities. The staff are so friendly, warm and amazing at what they do. especially Jane, Elizangela, Ruby. Shout out to Catherine and Sehrish who have made our experience a wonderful one from the very start. We believe children are active learners with unlimited potential. Our high-quality education programs are developed in-line with the National Early Years Learning Framework and are designed to support and promote your child’s learning through active child-initiated play.
We are a not-for-profit centre with strong connections to the local community. Our diverse team of qualified educators and support staff collectively speak over 12 languages and encourage bi-lingual interactions. I love everything about the centre. The children always seem so happy and calm in the rooms. There is so much for the kids to do.

Sparkways see themselves as more than an early learning and care provider. This not-for-profit company works with children and young people facing adversity or isolation to give them a brighter future.
They support young people through youth mentoring, social enterprise employment programs, and supporting families to be able to access early learning.
For families that enrol with a Sparkways early learning and care centre, their children will be given a great start in life while also helping to improve the lives of other Victorian children.

At the Sparkways Early Learning Showgrounds diversity is celebrated. Educator speak 12 different languages including Cantonese, Vietnamese, Mandarin, Urdu, Punjabi, Telugu, Hindi, Korean, Italian, Kannada, Sinhala and Turkish!
6 weeks - 12 months
The babies room is a safe and happy home away from home. The focus is on children’s wellbeing and development. Children enjoy a range of age-appropriate activities including tummy time and sensory play to support the development of fine and gross motor skills, along with singing and story time for language development. Mirror and facial expression games are a favourite activity, to support social/emotional development.
1 - 2 years
These rooms are hives of activity, and educators encourage children to learn through play, to foster self-confidence and identity. Favourite activities include music, dance, yoga, sensory games and reading. Group play is designed to develop confidence and social skills.
2 - 3 years
Lots of play is encouraged, including construction games, dance, and memory games. Language skills are developed through reading and music. Social skills and self-confidence are encouraged through group play. Children begin to explore literacy and numeracy through interaction with their educators.
3 - 4 years
The children in this room enjoy plenty of outdoor play. The environment is designed to allow them to follow their interests, while building a healthy body and positive mental wellbeing. Children are able to explore risky play and other extracurricular activities while educators support the development of social and emotional resilience.
4 - 5 years
Play is encouraged to support development, through music, dance, games, reading, technology and lots of outdoor fun. A school readiness program helps children prepare for the next step in their education, following the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework. Children guide the curriculum, depending on their interests and preferences.
Children have a voice, I ask to enter their space, I treat the children with dignity and truly listen to them. Success is when they flourish in an environment where they feel safe and have a sense of true belonging. Families can trust that I will do the very best for their family.

I have enjoyed working at Sparkways Early Learning Showgrounds for more than 12 years. I enjoy a strong bond with our local families and children.
It is a joy to share the special moments of early childhood together like a family.
Evie - Educator
At Sparkways Early Learning Showgrounds, the children are offered nutritious and healthy seasonal meals, including breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. All food is freshly prepared by the in-house chef, who is also a qualified nutritionist.
All children’s dietary requirements are accounted for, including allergies and intolerances. The centre’s menus are based on the Department of Health’s Nutrition Australia guidelines.
The children take part in weekly cooking lessons, and also learn about the value of growing your own produce in the centre’s vegetable garden. Some of the children’s favourite meals include lasagne, chicken fried rice, tuna pasta bake, and lentil soup.

Our daughters are at Sparkways showgrounds. Our youngest has been there for around 6 months, our oldest has been there for nearly two years. They both were welcomed in by caring and attentive educators and have built great relationships from early on with educators within each of their rooms. They really enjoy their days there and are really well supported on those days where drop offs can be a bit tougher - it is great to see the trust our kids have in their educators. The Sparkways team set up engaging activities that focus on development appropriate to the girls age, which the girls also have lots of fun doing. The stories and pictures we receive from the centre on what the kids rooms have been doing also link really well to the learning plans developed for each. The centre is really responsive and accommodating for any questions or requests we ever have. We’re really grateful we chose this centre for the girls and love seeing the relationships, fun, learning and confidence they have got from their experiences there.
