Our high-quality, play based preschool curriculum is delivered by Bachelor qualified Early Childhood Teachers. Our teachers tailor their programs to ensure all children develop the confidence and social and emotional skills needed for a smooth transition to school. Goodstart Early Learning uses the StoryPark app to connect with parents throughout the day. The educators upload photos and stories to the secure app, which parents can access anytime and anywhere to track their child’s progress.
The approach at the centre is very much based around partnership between families and educators. The educators work with the parents and carers to build strong relationships. They develop trust so the children can feel safe and secure while at the centre. Parents are also encouraged to share their insights and feedback with educators to add depth to the relationship.
The educators observe the children every day and tailor the program around their observations. They share these with parents, so they can feel connected to their child’s progress and also provide feedback that will further enhance their child’s learning experience.

Both of my boys have attended Goodstart Torquay over the past 10 years, and I have always been impressed by the consistency and dedication of the educators. The centre has a warm, welcoming atmosphere where children feel supported and valued. The Director is friendly, approachable, and genuinely cares about the families and children in the centre. The meals provided are nutritious and enjoyed by the children, and the learning experiences are thoughtfully planned to support their interests, development, and wellbeing. I highly recommend the centre to other families looking for high quality early childhood education and care.

We couldn't be happier with our experience at Goodstart Torquay. Our daughter absolutely loves attending and has formed such wonderful relationships with her caring teachers. The activities provided each day are engaging, fun, and support her learning and development. The team is always accommodating and provides thorough handovers, which gives us great peace of mind. After an unsatisfactory experience at another centre in the area, we enrolled our second child here and have been blown away by the level of care, support, and genuine dedication shown to our family. Highly recommend Goodstart Torquay. Both of my sons attend the centre and we absolutely love it. The educators are amazing and very invested in each child’s interests and the kids get to experience lots of sensory and messy play. Due to its small size the educators know every child’s and parents name across the whole centre which makes it feel so welcoming.

Having had a number of childcare experiences over the years, I'm happy to say that TELC has been the best. I've also noted that unlike some other childcare centres, the kids are never given any screen time, which means they must be enjoying their friends, teachers, and surroundings without them. The food is also a big winner with amazing variety and portions for even the fussiest of kids. I've never seen my child anything other than happy and healthy.
