As parents, we do everything in our power to protect our children—especially when we’ve survived trauma or are trying to rebuild our lives. We believed Kiddie Winks Daycare, and its owner Kyra, when they promised to help us keep our children safe. They told us they supported us like family. They told us they understood. We trusted Kyra with deeply personal information—details no parent should ever have to share unless absolutely necessary. We made it clear that our priority was keeping our children safe from known offenders. Kyra agreed. She said she was “on board.” She said she’d support us. Instead, she did the unthinkable: she shared our private information with the very people we were trying to protect our children from. Not only did Kyra betray our confidence, she actively helped our offenders. She paid for their Working With Children Checks and their birth certificates—documents that gave them the freedom to remain in the same area, close to our children. These are not small missteps. These are choices that directly endangered our family. Even worse, some of these individuals were welcomed into the daycare environment, allegedly given roles after hours or allowed to be present around children—ours included. While smiling to our faces and pretending to care, Kyra was speaking behind our backs—belittling our concerns and downplaying the severity of the risk. Her actions were not just dishonest; they were reckless and deeply harmful. She created an environment where the safety of children came second to personal relationships and convenience. No childcare provider should enable offenders. No daycare should ever breach confidentiality or act against a family’s safety needs. Kyra’s actions are the definition of negligence. She has shown that Kiddie Winks is not a place for safety—it’s a place where trust goes to die. We refuse to stay silent while others walk blindly into the same situation. Families deserve transparency. Parents deserve the truth. And children deserve to be cared for by people who put their well-being above all else. We hope that sharing our story will lead to greater scrutiny, accountability, and—most importantly—change. Kiddie Winks Daycare, under Kyra’s leadership, has shown a complete disregard for privacy, safety, and integrity. We urge other families to ask questions, to speak up, and to never take “we’re like family” at face value. Real families protect one another. Real child care centers do, too.

Unprofessional staff just drop your kid at morning pick up with list of complaints no activities no learning

I'm really happy with the staff at the centre and my daughter seems very happy there. The kids are always using the Thermomix to create yum food (that the kids get to help prep) or fun creations (cloud dough, lipchap, bath salts). I love how each day is something interesting for them. The teachers are upbeat and encouraging and know every child. I do wish that the daily things were updated a bit more.. we've recently got little paragraphs about what was done in their day but I would like to know if she slept, what and if she ate, toileted etc. But I get that with so many children it is hard to keep track in class, as well as then do reports for every child each day. Hopefully it will be automated (digital recording sent to parents) one day to make it easier for teachers!
