A great childcare centre, that is well-managed, with lovely, friendly and caring staff. Staff are flexible and responsive to the kids needs. Good communication with families. Would definitely recommend!

Our daughter has just turned four and has been attending this daycare since she was around seven months old, and we honestly couldn’t be happier with the care she’s received over the years.

The educators are absolutely wonderful, always so friendly, approachable, and genuinely happy to chat. You can tell they truly care about the children and create such a supportive, loving environment.

Even while I’m currently on maternity leave, I recently stopped by with my seven-month-old son and was reminded of just how warm and welcoming this place is. The team made me a coffee and took the time to sit and chat, it really feels like a community, not just a daycare.

It gives us so much confidence knowing our children are in such a nurturing space, and we’re so excited for our son to start there soon as well. Highly recommend to any families looking for a caring and supportive daycare.

I cannot recommend Creative Childcare Hunter St enough! Their director Sarah has been nothing but supportive of our family since moving to the area and attending their facility. We have struggled with a difficult transition for daughter, and every single staff member has been supportive, proactive and communicated what they think will work best to support her

Knowing that your child is loved and cared for is number 1 priority when choosing a daycare. Add on extended hours, all meals cooked onsite, optional “date night”s monthly are all icing on the cake. Thanks for being such wonderful educators!

About Creative Childcare Hunter Street

Creative Childcare Hunter Street is a family-owned child care centre for children from 6 weeks to 6 years of age in Newcastle West. With a focus on creativity, the centre’s walls are full of incredible paintings from local artists.

The inside of the centre is very welcoming with natural light that fills the large indoor and outdoor learning areas. As the centre has plenty of wide open spaces, it creates an open and airy feeling and sense of close community.

Outside in the purpose-built playground, the children can enjoy shady water play on the river beds, bike tracks, an obstacle course, balance beams, boats, sandpits, veggie gardens and chalkboards. You’ll notice even more amazing art on the walls here from talented local artists.

The centre opened in 2017 and is open daily from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, 52 weeks a year. It is conveniently located just minutes from Newcastle Interchange, Hamilton Station, and the University of Newcastle. A carpark for the centre makes drop off and pick up times easy.

 • Music program: specialised educators build on the children’s natural instincts to get involved with music in their everyday lives.
 • Arts program: art can help to develop a child’s cognitive, social and motor skills in a fun and engaging way. Children build self-esteem when given open-ended access to various media such as clay, paint and craft.
 • Dance program: dance gives the children the chance to express themselves, no matter their skill level. Dance helps to build coordination and memory and can help bring children out of their comfort zone.
 • School readiness: to help children transition to primary school, this program builds on their social and emotional skills, as well as their literacy and numeracy.
