I am very disappointed with my recent experience at Expeditions Early Learning Journey Underwood. Since the new director started, I have been unhappy with the way the centre is managed and communicated with. I frequently received calls asking me to pick up my child, which became very stressful and frustrating. Unfortunately, the situation reached a point where I decided to withdraw both of my children from the centre. I hope management takes parents’ concerns seriously and works to improve communication and support for families.

I would give this centre zero stars if I could. I am honestly very disappointed with the way my son was treated here.<br>My son is very active and energetic and instead of knowing how to deal with him and support him, I kept getting phone calls asking me to come and pick him up because he was disturbing other children. I really don’t understand this. This is a childcare centre and children are all different, some are quiet and some are very active, so I expected the educators to know how to manage different children.<br>What made me even more upset was that many times I came to pick him up and found him placed with much younger children and babies. My son is nearly starting Prep, so why is he being put with babies instead of children his own age? I really did not like this at all.<br><br>One staff member even told me my son was “a danger to us” and asked me to come and take him. I was very upset by the way this was said to me. I don’t think this is the right way to speak to a parent about their child.<br>Also many times when I picked him up his clothes were not properly arranged and I was not happy with the amount of food he was getting either.<br>For me the biggest problem was that I did not feel they knew how to deal with a very active child. It always felt easier for them to complain or call me to pick him up instead of actually working with him.<br><br>I expected much better care, better communication and more understanding from a childcare centre. Unfortunately I completely lost trust in this place and decided to move my son somewhere else.

Amazing centre! All I can say about my Child Care centre. The Staff, educators and the services are just amazing. We are glad to have found the right place for our son ♥️

Expeditions took wonderful care of our daughter. The staff are warm, friendly and caring. She thrived under the guidance of the Kindergarten teacher in 2025. Highly recommend 👌

very accommodating and friendly team, my kids always feel safe, cared for and nurtured, always looking forward to another kindy day. my eldest thoroughly enjoys the swimming program offered at the centre. Weekly incursions are also a fantastic opportunity for the kids to be immersed in different activities
