I have been a parent at Green Park Kindergarten for three years, with both of my children attending the Acacia program. Throughout this time, I have consistently found the staff to be warm, supportive, and highly attentive to each child’s needs. Child safety is clearly a top priority, with strong communication around safety practices and procedures, which provides great reassurance to families.
Alice Clarke’s dedication to the program is especially evident. She has developed the bush kinder program from the ground up, creating a truly grassroots initiative that offers children meaningful connections with nature. The kindergarten places a strong emphasis on play-based learning, inclusion, and natural experiences. Children are encouraged to explore the bush environment, develop an awareness of animals and ecosystems, and engage in rich, hands-on learning that supports their development in a holistic way.
Aboriginal culture is deeply embedded within the program, and Alice proactively seeks engagement with the local Land Council and ACCOs to ensure authentic and meaningful cultural enrichment. This commitment creates respectful learning opportunities and fosters a strong sense of connection to Country.
The program also benefits from multiple incursions, including visits from Victoria Police, with a clear focus on body safety awareness and education. This proactive approach equips children with important knowledge and contributes to keeping them safe within the community.
All staff members demonstrate genuine care and dedication, and it is clear they are deeply committed to early childhood education and the wellbeing of every child in their care.
