Located in Riverside, our beautiful self-contained space is separate from the main house and set far back from any roads. The children enjoy the natural surroundings with visits from a magpie family, the cockatoos, kookaburras, rosellas and occasionally echidnas and blue tongue lizards. The space is set up solely for family day care and is carefully prepared to support each childs autonomy, and the wonderous joy that is childhood. My name is Colleen, and I’ve set up and been running this amazing space for nearly 6 years, with over 17 years of professional experience.
In the Early Years, children rely on relationships where they feel safe, loved and experience positive and joyful interactions. The relationship between families, educators and children is very important, and sets the base from where children are confident to then explore and learn. Nurturing these important relationships takes time, and using a holistic approach in supporting every child’s wellbeing is essential. Family Day Care offers the opportunity for children and families to strengthen these relationships at an individual level, and siblings are able to attend together.
