This service is so bright, open and inviting. With large outdoor spaces for the children to run and explore. My son loves spending time outside running, climbing and looking at the tractors mowing the grass at the soccer club. The educators are so welcoming and helpful. He loves Miss Jada, Tori, Nikki and Gina. Thank you for taking such good care of my baby.

I’m writing this review in hopes that no other parent and child experience what I had to experience with this centre. Unfortunately, I was told one thing and witnessed another. I was told they do lots of outdoor play, messy play and water play which is not the case when we did our play and stays. When we did our Second and Third play and stay we witnessed what really goes on at the centre. The centre itself is clean and new but unfortunately doesn’t meet the sun safety standards that most daycares meet. I was told that they have to tape off areas that are too hot and they have to take temperatures of the turf. Most of the outside area had limited to no sunshades. I was told that the kids are kept inside from 9:30am till 2pm and that they only do one planned activity that goes for 30 minutes. Overall there was no structure for the kids and they were stuck inside playing with the same toys. My auntie had to tell one of the educators that one of the kids was going to hurt themselves due to limited supervision. Every concern I had, had an excuse. I asked an educator about how much water play they do and was told they do heaps but she had only done three waterplay activities since being there in October. We witnessed kids standing at the front door screaming for all three play and stays and when talking to a staff member they stated it happens all the time. I’ve sent numerous emails in regards to being removed from Kindyhub and have heard nothing back. They also took two weeks payment even though we never started there but was enrolled. When I came in on the Monday, an educator asked me if I was there for a play and stay even though this would’ve been her first day at the centre. I called up on the Friday cancelling her enrolment as the centre was not for my daughter. Overall, I think this centre is falsely advertising What really happens there. I think the staff behind the desk were quite rude and could have been more accommodating to our situation.

I want to share my honest experience to help other parents make an informed decision. I have to be honest and we were so excited to start this daycare originally. The Positives: • The facility itself is beautiful – modern classrooms and a stunning playground. • Most of the staff were friendly and caring toward the children. The Concerns: • Frequent “sick” calls: We were contacted multiple times a week to pick up our daughter for being “unwell.” On several occasions, she wasn’t sick at all. • Understaffing issues: Some younger staff admitted they were short-staffed, which appeared to be the real reason for the frequent pick-up calls. • Lost or stolen items: Over time, we had bottles, shoes, clothes, and personal items go missing. Even after raising concerns, it continued to happen. • Inconsistent handling of belongings: Staff were seen handing out other children’s bottles or saying “just grab one,” despite items being labelled. • Financial strain: Overtime charges added up quickly, and the centre was not flexible with hours or billing delays. • Poor support during relocation: When we had to urgently move away for safety reasons, our situation wasn’t handled with care or understanding. We continued to be charged for weeks after notifying them. - lastly, my daughter being injured by other children older children had scratched my daughter pushed bitten those sorts of things of course she didn’t end up reacting eventually but when you’re putting a one year-old with school age children I think it’s something that needs to be addressed. Overall: While the centre looks amazing, our experience was disappointing and stressful. Unfortunately, the constant staff shortages, loss of belongings, and lack of communication made our lives more difficult, and we ultimately had to move our daughter elsewhere.

We honestly couldn’t be happier Little Scholars Deception Bay North. My son was actually asked to leave his previous daycare due to “issues,” and when we enrolled here I made sure to explain everything that had happened. To my relief (and honestly, surprise), none of those problems have ever shown up here. The educators are caring, patient, and clearly know how to bring the best out of each child. My kids come home every day telling me it was “the best day ever.” In fact, just today my 3-year-old walked out beaming and said, “I love school.” That’s all the reassurance I need to know we’ve found the right place. I highly recommend this daycare to any family looking for a safe, supportive, and genuinely positive environment for their children.

Deception Bay North Little Scholars has been amazing asset for our family. My daughter absolutely loves her time there, she gets so excited when we arrive and always comes home happy. Shanelle, Bliss and Tamika are so warm, caring, patient, and it’s clear how much they truly love and value the children. As a parent, it’s such a comfort knowing my daughter is in a safe, nurturing environment where she is supported to learn, play, and grow. We are so grateful for the beautiful ladies in her room!

We love Little Scholars Deception Bay North. Our daughter is flourishing at this centre. The centre ticks all the boxes, always clean, large indoor and outdoor play areas, healthy meals, fun activities, good communication between centre and parents.Our daughter has made beautiful bonds with the long term educators at the centre. The educators are warm, nurturing and present each day. Keep up the amazing job!

My daughter attends this amazing centre. Miss Sarah and Miss Jamie are fantastic. The centre is beautiful, spacious and just over all incredible. The team out the front always greeting with a smile and are always bubbly. We love our centre!
