Our son Lennox has had such a wonderful experience at Mimi’s Babies by the Bay, and we couldn’t recommend it more highly. The outdoor space is fantastic for active little ones, with plenty of opportunities for play, exploration and adventure. The educators are kind, caring and genuinely invested in the children. They create fun, engaging activities while fostering a warm, nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported. What has meant the most to us is the sense of community. As a family without relatives in Australia, finding people we trust to care for our only child was incredibly important. The team at Mimi’s has given us complete peace of mind, knowing Lennox is safe, happy and genuinely cared for each day. Not only has Lennox made wonderful friendships, but so have we as parents. Mimi’s feels like an extension of our village and has provided a supportive community that we are so grateful to be part of. Thank you to the entire team for everything you do. You have made such a positive difference to our family.

We love everything about babies by the bay at Mimi’s! The kindy is decorated so beautifully allowing our children’s imagination to flourish. The backyard is huge which is great as my son loves being outside. The teachers are beautiful, so caring and the program is extremely thought out. My son loves their food too! Drop off is easy for us as my son is happy to be there.

We love Mimis. My daughter started there at 1.5 and now she is 5 and ready to go to school. She had great 4 years in day care, made friends, learned a lot . She always happy to go there and when she has a little moments and there is always someone to cheer her up 🤎 Girls in the team are absolute legends, always keep kids entertained, I love that they have a lot of outdoor play. My favourite part of the day to get snipers of my munchkins day. Highly recommend

Babies by the Bay at Mimi’s has been absolutely amazing for my son. From the very first day, the staff have treated him like one of their own, surrounding him with so much love and care. The nurturing environment they’ve created has given me complete peace of mind as a parent. A huge shout-out to Lauren, Caprice, and Sarah (and honestly, the entire team—I wish I could name you all!). You’ve all played such an important role in my son’s growth and happiness. If I ever have another child, there’s no question—they’d be coming straight back to Mimi’s. Thank you for being such a wonderful team!
Purchased in 2021 Mimi’s underwent an extensive restoration keeping its iconic pink exterior and retaining some of the original antique furniture, period fireplaces, ornate ceilings and rebranding the centre as Babies by the Bay at Mimi’s. Currently licenced for 38 children per day catering for ages 0-5 years providing high quality care for babies along with a school readiness program for preschoolers.
The educators at Babies by the Bay at Mimi’s believe the physical environment should be used as a learning resource and provide children with an appreciation of beauty and aesthetics through the provision of rich materials, resources and surroundings.
Opening hours between 7am and 6pm Monday to Friday.
