Choosing a family care educator for a 3-year-old was a crucial decision. We wanted to look for someone who creates a nurturing environment, fosters social development, and tailors activities to stimulate curiosity. Chandima is extremely patient and ensures a positive and supportive atmosphere for every child's early learning journey under her care. We highly recommend Chandima as an educator as she is one who values safety, encourages play-based learning, and demonstrates genuine care. Our 3 year old boy absolutely love spending time with Chandima. We had two of our children with Chandima over the years and were very happy. She focused on early leaning and the kids got a head start in school. Our daughers loved going there and looked forward to it every day.

We are sending our daughter to Chandima for the last 18 months. Chandima aunty is always friendly and welcoming. She communicates with parents regularly with frequent updates. Her centre is clean and well maintained with attention to hygiene and safety. We have noticed significant improvement in our daughter’s social development. Chandima identifies each child’s interest. Really appreciate going out of her way to assist and support when needed. Daughter always loves to go to Chandima’s daycare. She is a good educator and recommend her.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Chandima. She had our son for 10 months and he loved being with her. She provided a warm, comfortable and safe space for our son. She greeted him with a smile everyday and really encouraged him and enabled him to learn and grow. I highly recommend Chandima and her daycare and it is a shame we don't live so close anymore.

We love Chandima! Two of my children have attended her family day care now. My son went a few years ago (see older review) and my daughter has attended this past year. Both kids are very different in personality but Chandima has been a wonderful educator for them in different ways. My son is outgoing and social so she helped him with really focusing on learning and gave him structure while still encouraging play and creativity. My daughter is more reserved but we’ve watched her grow in social skills, confidence and also learning as she prepares for kindergarten next year. Chandima not only has a great indoor and outdoor environment for kids to play and learn in but she is also guided by the children’s interests. Both of my kids have built really beautiful friendships with other kids but also think so much of Chandima. She has such a calm and caring personality and as a parent, I also enjoy talking to her and can see she is passionate as an educator. She wants children to have their best chance in learning and growing. We have regular communication about my daughter’s progress. I also very much appreciate the community spirit that comes from the other families who attend the day care. Chandima has built a beautiful family day care, and I would highly recommend her to care for your children. She has made such a positive and significant impact on their lives and ours.

Mrs Chandima is an excellent teacher. She is friendly and kind to all. My child really enjoyed her care, she improved her writing, reading and colouring skills which greatly helped her in the school. My child is doing very well in her school because of the strong foundation that's been laid in the daycare. She also makes sure that the kids finish their food and always keeps them busy with some puzzles, activity books etc. It's because of Chandima's grooming, my kid did very well in school assessment and got promoted to K/1. We are very happy with her and recommend her strongly.

My son has been staying in Chandima's care since the beginning of this year. Chandima is very caring and patient. My son loves attending her daycare and has learnt a lot from Chandima's education. We would strongly recommend Chandima to our community.

My son started attending Chandima's Family Day Care in August 2017 when he was about 16 months old. Initially, he went one day a week, but a little after he was 2 years old, he started going 2 days and then 3 days a week. He always loved going, as Chandima is warm and welcoming, but we noticed such an improvement in his speech and interests once we increased his attendance. He suddenly had so much to say, and was able to participate more fully in the week's themed activities. Chandima's program is tailored to the needs and interests of the children currently in her care. For example, my son was interested in cars and dinosaurs and she created a week's worth of activities around each of these themes, along with the interests of the other kids other weeks. It's wonderful to see how excited they are to learn! Chandima also offers a creative outdoor area for the kids to play in and also do fun things like paint with nature or recycled materials. Now that my son is 3 years old, he is very interested in counting, the alphabet, music and even show and tell! As he learns, Chandima keeps a book of his work to show is progress. I love that all this sort of learning is child-driven. She also lets the kids help bake healthy and yummy treats. This has been a great way to encourage him to eat new foods. He has a very special relationship with her and the other children, and often asks to go to "school" on the days he is at home. A friend recommended Chandima to me, as her daughter had previously attended. We are so happy for our son to attend her family day care, as he enjoys those days so much. I would recommend Chandima if you are looking for a caring and warm teacher who provides a play based, homey environment with education, as the child grows and develops. I hope my son can continue with her until he starts kindergarten, as I know other kids have done so.

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN February 2nd. 2018 Re: Chandima Nanayakkara I have been with CCA Family Care since my daughter Amelia was 5 months old. In this time she has had a total of 3 carers; with Chandima Nanayakkara being her carer from 27/10/16 to 2/2/18. I would love to express how happy I have been with Chandima looking after Amelia throughout this time. I felt at ease from the very first moment I first met Chandima, she is very polite and professional in every way. As the weeks passed I could see that Chandima genuinely loves what she does and has the utmost care for the children she looks after. Her patience and heart is absolutely filled with gold and you can see she wants to spend time with the children - whether it be with arts and crafts, playing with the toys or running around in the back garden together, she is actively involved at every level. Chandima takes her role above and beyond what is expected as a carer, she helps the children prepare for school by learning and improving their alphabet, counting skills, understanding colours and recognising their name, as well as building their confidence during 'show and tell' sessions by getting the children to stand up in front of the others and talking about their favourite toy. Amelia will be attending kindergarten this year and I have Chandima to thank for her preparation in readiness for this new milestone in her life. As a busy single mother, Chandima has made it possible for me to do my job in the knowledge that Amelia is being cared for and looked after by this amazing lady, she is an absolute treasure and is an invaluable member of your team..
