We are so incredibly grateful for everything this daycare has given our daughter over the past 3.5 years. From the very beginning, she was welcomed with such warmth, care, and genuine love, and that never wavered. The relationships she formed here both with the educators and the other children, have been truly beautiful. Watching her grow in confidence, kindness, independence, and joy has been a direct reflection of the nurturing environment created by the amazing team. The educators don’t just “look after” the children, they truly know them, care deeply for them, and support them as individuals. Graduating feels incredibly bittersweet because this place has been such a big part of her early years and our family’s life. We will forever be thankful for the memories, the friendships, and the foundation you’ve helped build for her future. We couldn’t recommend this daycare more highly, it will always hold a very special place in our hearts 🤍

I would not recommend this facility or staff associated with the place. There’s decent daycares around, not this one. This is a toxic daycare and after a while you child’s behaviour changes, their irritable, moody, tired, more upset. They get sent home, you have to take more time off work, they don’t want to go. Then snide comments happen, the feed back turns to sour. If this is happening pull your kid out.

As an onlooking family member, I witnessed ongoing issues with how Little Beginnings Hillsborough Road treated my relatives. The family was mistreated, and there were serious concerns regarding honesty and accuracy in incident reporting involving children. From the outside, it was clear how stressful and upsetting this experience was for them. Any childcare service should prioritise transparency, safety, and respectful communication, which unfortunately did not occur here.

We’ve been a part of the Hillsborough Road Little Beginnings for almost 4 years. So I feel like I know this place pretty well and can give a thorough overview. I have two other children and in total we have experienced five daycares owned all by different companies. None of the others even compare to this centre. The staff have been consistent throughout the years with very low turnover. Those who do leave often end up returning not long after. They know me by name, they greet me, are interested in my family’s life, and tell me about her day whether they were in her room or not (because the staff communicate well within the centre). My daughter was always happy to go to daycare. She loved the educators dearly and always felt safe. Programming was meticulous and engaging. The staff communicate multiple times throughout the day on the app so you are always informed. My emails were responded to within a 1-2 day window. They were always available by phone when needed. If there was a problem, it was addressed with transparency. For instance, showing the rosters of staff to ensure parents knew who was available in what rooms and when. They are always well staffed. Sure, the daycare fees are high. And that might be a valid complaint. BUT they have recently redone the playground, they ensure the food provided is of high quality and they are forever buying new equipment/furniture/toys for the children. I could not be more happy with the care this centre has provided, both before and after affinity took over. In fact, the amount of money affinity has poured into this centre since taking over has really surprised me. Most importantly, they have implemented so many safe guards to keep the children’s wellbeing front of mind. I would recommend this centre to any parent without a doubt.

Our daughter has just finished her early education and is more than ready to start primary school, thanks to the incredible educators at Little Beginnings Hillsborough Road. Over the years, we’ve had three children attend five different centres due to moving, and we can honestly say this centre has been the best by far. From the moment you walk into the playground or rooms, the educators are warm, welcoming, and genuinely engaged, always saying hello and goodbye and making our daughter, Hali, feel safe and supported. The communication was exceptional. Educators consistently took the time to update us on Hali’s day, even when they hadn’t been working directly in her room, which really showed the strong team culture and care across the centre. Little Beginnings truly goes above and beyond to create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and build confidence. This commitment is especially evident in the positive changes that have been made recently. Our daughter loved attending this centre. She came home happy, full of stories about her day, and formed some wonderful friendships along the way. We are incredibly grateful for the role Little Beginnings has played in preparing her for the next chapter.

Couldn’t recommend Little Beginnings enough! My son has been attending for the past two years and absolutely loves coming to Little Beginnings. He is thriving, happy, safe, and truly nurtured. So much so that our baby will also be attending in February 2026. As a mum and a medical parent to two sons with Cystic Fibrosis, placing your child in daycare can feel incredibly daunting. However, the trust we have in the educators brings us so much comfort and peace of mind. The beautiful educators, the warm and welcoming environment, and the care put into each child’s daily experiences mean everything to us. From the moment you walk through the door, you feel reassured knowing your child is safe and genuinely cared for. The centre is run exceptionally well, always filled with positive smiles, and the communication at both drop-off and pick-up is amazing. As a family, we have built such a strong connection with Little Beginnings, and we truly couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

This daycare caused our family an enormous amount of stress and distress. We had attended this centre for several years and were once happy, which makes what followed even more unacceptable. Since the takeover by Affinity, the standard of care, communication, and professionalism declined significantly. There were repeated failures in supervision and incident reporting, including injuries we were not properly informed about. When we raised concerns, we were not met with transparency or support — instead, we felt dismissed and unheard. The way our family was treated when issues were escalated was completely unacceptable and has had lasting emotional impacts. What should have been a safe and supportive environment became a source of anxiety and ongoing stress. Based on our experience after the change in ownership, I would strongly caution other families and do not recommend this centre.
