Kardinia’s Kindergarten programs are taught by Bachelor trained teachers, accessing 15 hours of kindergarten, over two consecutive days. Families have the option of accessing before and after care for their child if they require.
Their kindergarten provides child led and interest based learning programs. Their Teachers and Educators observe the children on a regular basis, evaluating their needs and creating a curriculum from these observations. They believe that children learn and develop through active and constructive involvement in play. Children will experience a ‘hands on’ approach where they are challenged to explore, investigate and discover.
Children are decision makers in their educational program which engages children as co-constructors of the curriculum.
The learning environment is more than the equipment you see, it is how their people use the equipment in ways to challenge, provoke and ignite engagement with their ideas. Children develop at different rates and in different ways; emotionally, socially, intellectually, morally, physically, and spiritually. At Kardinia Kindergarten they aspire to engage children in focused learning using their ideas and interests through an integrated curriculum. Mathematics, science, literacy, arts and technology are embedded into their practices and everyday learning.
