Meet Sharon, our dedicated Director, who brings over 30 years of experience in early childhood education to our center. Sharon passionately believes that a teacher's role extends far beyond simply transmitting knowledge. She sees herself as a co-learner, collaborator and a passionate advocate for children, who facilitates social learning and fosters a love of learning. She is a keen observer and researcher, always striving to enhance children's experiences. 

As Director, Sharon provides support and guidance to our educators, bridges the gap between the classroom and the community, and advocates for the needs of both educators and children. She fosters a collaborative and nurturing environment where parents, educators, and children learn and grow together. Her compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic approach ensures our center provides the highest quality early childhood education.

At C3 Childcare, we understand the importance of giving children a strong foundation to their learning journey and preparing them for future academic success. We offer a comprehensive and rigorous School Readiness Program. This program focuses on developing essential foundational skills through a mindful approach. We emphasize pre-reading and pre-writing, literacy, numeracy, STEM concepts, and creative expression through art, music, and drama.

Our Mandarin Chinese Immersion program provides an enriching, authentic language experience that offers our young learners the innumerable lifelong benefits of bi-lingual education. Through immersive play, storytelling, and engaging activities, children naturally begin to absorb and express themselves in Mandarin! Our team of Mandarin educators are highly qualified, native-speaking and bring a wealth of experience from teaching young learners in China.

C3 stands for Creativity, Confidence and Communication. Our philosophy and programs are guided by the Early Years Framework of Belonging, Being and Becoming. We encourage children's creativity, confidence and ability to communicate through a variety of expressions. In our programs, we promote play-based learning through a variety of processes such as problem solving, social interaction and role-play. Most importantly, we prioritise listening to children which enables children to enhance language, cognitive, communication and fine/gross motor skills. We ensure every child at the centre is supported with the confidence of expression and communication.

We work to develop and maintain a strong partnership between families and educators in order to assist children in developing their learning potential. Family input is used by educators when creating a learning program in order to embed knowledge within the context of cultural expectations and societal roles.

We respect diversity by valuing, reflecting and including our families cultural beliefs and practices within our curriculum and creating an equitable and inclusive environment. Educators, families and children are encouraged to connect with their heritage by sharing cultural stories and practices through food, national events and religious days of significance, to name a few.
