We’ve had such a wonderful experience at Normanhurst Child Care Centre. Our son started when he was just 6 months old, and it’s been so special watching him grow and thrive with the care and support of the educators.<br><br>What we’ve appreciated most is that the care has extended beyond just our son. The team have taken a genuine interest in getting to know us as parents too, and the warmth and friendship they’ve shown our family has made us feel like so much more than just clients of a service. We genuinely feel part of the centre community.<br><br>As a first-time mum, I’ve also really valued having educators I feel comfortable talking to and asking for advice. I’ve always felt listened to and supported, without judgement, which has been such a comfort as we’ve navigated those early years of parenthood.<br><br>Most importantly, we know our son is happy, safe and genuinely cared for. Seeing the relationships he’s built with his educators is so lovely, and we feel incredibly lucky to have found a centre where both he and we as parents feel so comfortable.<br><br>We’re so grateful to the whole team at Normanhurst Child Care Centre and would wholeheartedly recommend them to any family. ❤️

We provide a varied program for all children based on the children’s interests, observations and family input. The Centre’s program incorporates the Emergent Curriculum and the Early Years Learning Framework. At our Centre we encourage family input into the program and believe in creating a strong link between the home and the Centre. All staff attend regular training and seminars to ensure they are up-to- date with current early childhood practices and information. The Centre has been assessed under the current National Quality Standards.
We have 3 classrooms in the Centre - Possum Room (0-2 years), Koala Room (2-3 years) and the Emu Room (3-6 years) and each class is run by experienced and qualified Early Childhood Educators.

At Normanhurst Child Care Centre, educators provide a varied program based on the children’s interests, observations and family input.
6 weeks - 2 years
Up to 12 children are cared for in the nursery by 3 main educators. The indoor learning environment for this age group is a stimulating environment with room for children to explore at their own pace. Educators offer flexible routines that allow for consistency with family routines, large blocks of time for play and learning, and children’s choice and direction on experiences throughout the day.
2 years - 3 years
Up to 15 toddlers are cared for in this room by 3 main educators. Spaces within the room reflect children’s interests and are responsive to their abilities, catering for different learning capacities. Children’s developing social needs are supported through music and movement experiences. Children learn the skills needed to care, share, collaborate and use their emotions in a positive way.
3 years - 5 years
This classroom caters for up to 20 children with 2 main educators. The learning environment is bright and welcoming, arranged to invite and encourage varied forms of play and learning throughout the day. Educators encourage learning through immersion with innovative and interesting forms of literacy and numeracy experiences embedded within the curriculum to develop the children’s skills at a level that is developmentally appropriate for them. The program is designed to ensure that children are interested in learning by planning learning around their interests so they are engaged to explore, investigate and learn. These experiences give ownership to children and encourage their problem solving and decision-making skills.
My name is Jacque and I started working at the Centre in 2006. My qualifications are Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) and Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education). I am the full-time Director of the Centre.

Morning
Alexandra is ten months old and loves going on excursions in the pram with her nursery friends. Today they’re heading to the local park to see what birds they can spot in the trees.
Lunch
Alexandra is playing with some soft blocks on the mat before she heads off for a nap in the sleeping area. Her educator reads her some books before preparing her for a rest.
Afternoon
Alexandra loves music, and today the educators have set out lots of small musical instruments for the children to explore.
Morning
Alex is three years old and likes to start his day playing outside with his friends. They balance on the beam and pretend that they are pirates walking the plank.
Lunchtime
Alex is helping one of the educators to pull some weeds out of the herb garden. He has a taste of some cherry tomatoes and makes sure they have enough water.
Afternoon
Alex and his friends are excited as they have a special guest today from the library who is coming in for storytime.
Morning
Sophie is four and a half years old and loves to play outside. She and her friends are playing in the cubby house, pretending that it is a shop.
Lunchtime
Sophie is joining in with some fun soccer games today. The children take turns at the goal, and then Sophie tries being the goalie.
Afternoon
The educators have set out some instruments for the children to explore. Sophie chooses a tambourine and taps along with the beat from the music.

Both our kids have been at the centre since they were around 1 year old and we’ve honestly had such a lovely experience there. The educators and staff are so caring and genuinely love the children, which really shows every day. Sending your little ones to childcare is such a big thing as a parent, but the team made us feel comfortable from the start and the centre has really come to feel like family to us. Our children are always happy to go in and have built such beautiful relationships with the educators. We’re so grateful for all the care, support and kindness they show our family and couldn’t recommend the centre more highly.

We’ve had such a wonderful experience with the centre. Our eldest attended previously and now our youngest is happily settled in the Possum room. The educators are warm, caring and genuinely invested in the children. It’s such a comforting feeling knowing your child is loved, supported and excited to go each day. The communication with families is fantastic, and the activities and learning experiences are always thoughtful and engaging. We’re so grateful to have found a centre that feels like a true community. Highly recommend to any family looking for a nurturing and welcoming environment for their children in Normanhurst.

We've had two children attend this centre and have had nothing but positive experiences. Many staff have been at the centre for many years and it shows! Communication is always open and we are able to provide feedback or instructions at anytime and staff are onto it. Our children were always very attached to the educators and clearly felt safe and supported by them (across all three rooms!). My kids also eat so well at the centre which has been fantastic for my picky eater, as I can feel confident even if he doesn't eat much dinner, he's eaten well at the centre. Happily recommend this centre to all local families ❤️

My son has been attending since he was one, and our experience has been wonderful. Now that he’s in the Koala rooms, I’m so impressed by the fact that there are two main ECTs per room (Koala and Emu). This level of professional support really shows in the children’s development. The team is incredibly resourceful and creative with the activities they set up, focusing on genuine interaction over 'performing' for social media or photo updates. They priorities being in the moment with the kids, fostering an atmosphere of love and laughter. It is a fantastic community for any family.

Offer
New families enrolling at Normanhurst Child Care Centre may receive 50% off the Centre’s standard daily/session fee for the first 4 weeks of care.
Promotion period
This offer is available for new enrolments completed on or before 31 December 2026.
Eligibility
This offer is available to new families enrolling a child at Normanhurst Child Care Centre who have not previously held an active enrolment at the Centre. The offer is subject to availability of places and the Centre’s usual enrolment process.
Enrolment requirements
To qualify, the family must complete all required enrolment documentation, including any required Complying Written Arrangement, and provide all requested information before the child’s commencement date.
Start date
The child must commence care by 28 February 2027 to be eligible for the offer, unless otherwise agreed in writing by the Centre.
How the discount is applied
The 50% discount applies to the Centre’s standard daily/session fee for the child’s permanent booked days during the first 4 weeks of care. The discount will be applied to the account before Child Care Subsidy is calculated and/or reported, where applicable.
Child Care Subsidy
Child Care Subsidy eligibility, percentage, hours and payment amounts are determined by Services Australia. Families remain responsible for any gap fee, out-of-pocket amount or account balance payable after any applicable CCS and promotional discount have been applied.
Permanent booked days only
The offer applies to permanent booked days only. It does not apply to casual days, additional days, make-up days, late fees, administration fees, bond payments, special event charges, or any other non-standard charges unless confirmed by the Centre in writing.
Absences and public holidays
If a child is charged for an absence or public holiday during the first 4 weeks of care, the promotional discount will apply to the eligible standard daily/session fee for that booked day.
Changes to enrolment days
If the family changes the child’s booked days during the promotional period, the discount will only apply to the eligible permanent booked days approved by the Centre during the first 4 weeks of care.
Withdrawal or cancellation
If the enrolment is cancelled, postponed, or the child does not commence care, the offer will be forfeited. The Centre’s usual notice period, fee payment and cancellation terms continue to apply.
One offer per child
The offer may only be used once per child. It cannot be transferred, exchanged for cash, refunded as cash, or applied retrospectively to past fees.
Not valid with other offers
This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other discount, promotion or special offer unless agreed by the Centre in writing.
Account credit
Any promotional discount will be applied as a fee reduction or account credit only. No cash payment will be made to families.
Centre discretion
Normanhurst Child Care Centre may amend, extend, suspend or withdraw this offer at any time, provided this does not affect eligible families who have already been approved for the offer in writing.
Final decision
Eligibility for the offer is determined by Normanhurst Child Care Centre. The Centre’s decision is final.
