I am very thankful for the care and support the educators provide for my son with special needs. They are patient, understanding, and always make him feel safe, included, and valued. Their dedication, kindness, and communication have helped my son grow in confidence and development. I truly appreciate the positive and supportive environment they create every day. Highly recommend this childcare service.

Ella is a small, not for profit childcare centre with fantastic, experienced staff who provide excellent care for every child. My eldest child has been attending Ella for over two years and just loves the staff, daily activities and beautiful garden grounds to play in. The staff have been so accommodating to us by offering an extended orientation for my youngest child who struggles to be apart from me, ensuring that both she and I feel supported in the transition back to work. I am so impressed with this centre and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Face the facts — Ella is well past its prime! The current manager Helen, can’t even hold a team together. The centre is filthy, classrooms are shutting down one after another, and families are walking away disappointed. It’s a disgrace.

I feel blessed to have enrolled my son in Uniting Ella, it gives me the peace of mind to go to work. My son started with Uniting Ella at 8 months old. He is learning and developing so quickly & surprises us with new skills and words we never taught him at home. The educators and the principal are super friendly, very supportive, never brushed me off when I wanted to talk about my son's day. Head office is also very helpful and responsive.

Our daughter (2.5 years old) recently started at Ella. We are so impressed with how well she has settled in compared to her previous centre. It is a huge credit to the staff who are experienced and genuinely engage with the children. The indoor and outdoor environment are wonderful. Thank you to the Ella team for changing our perception of long daycare!

Ella was not the right fit for our family. My daughter attended for just under a year and while there we found the educators to be inflexible and quite stern at times. There was pressure exerted to toilet train my daughter during winter. I told them we would wait until the warmer months but they continued to place pressure. When we did finally toilet train in the summer it only took a week! Glad I didn't bow to the pressure. The children also watch tv everyday as 'part of the curriculum' which is not great. They also had difficulty in showing empathy and compassion due to my family's difficult life circumstances despite being run by a charitable organisation. We've also seen some of the educators raising their voices at other parents and the children. Not great at all. Some parents love this centre and others we know have had a similarly challenging experience. Ella simply wasn't for us. We prefer a kinder, flexible, and more child centred focus. We've since moved to another local centre and are far far happier, so too is our daughter who is thriving!
