This isn't just a 'day care' service this is a community. A community that strives together to provide best possible outcomes for all (including the planet). With such embedded practices like compostable nappies, buy and sell group (for children's essentials), supporting further local Tasmanian business- inviting them to hold a stall at their annual fair and sourcing products from them such as Rainkoat wet pants for example. Ethical- so many ethical practices are in place but if I had to name one that has most recently touched us, it would be that they offer reduced fees for family holidays. Supported family time- a true blessing that helps cover the cost of some much loved family activities, experiences and supports many memories to be made. This is not offered by many other local services. Truly unique- sitting on 5 acres of land, the children have access and freedom to roam and explore. Taking part in bush crafts, cubby house making, camp fire making and cooking, just to name a few. Learning environments that support calmness, relationships and consistency- reflected in tried, tested and recognised child rearing theories. I truly believe an injustice has been served to children and their families attending other services. My advice- get your name on the wait list and check in regularly with them to help secure your child's space today. Do not delay this!!

They need to be loved and nurtured. Our image of the child guides us to respectfully provide them with every opportunity to succeed as the powerful and capable learners we believe they are and for them to develop according to their own uniqueness within an environment full of beauty, gifts, challenges and provocation. We aim to delight the children as they explore their world and the natural wonders around them as they grow and learn through their play.
Whilst acknowledging that parents are the first educators of their children, we strive to provide an environment to foster and nurture the child’s sense of Belonging, Being and Becoming, establishing a growing identity as we work with families to find ways to connect home and the centre. We will provide a loving “home away from home” to cultivate and support family and community, honour Reconciliation and to provide and promote the building of quality attachments between children and educators.

Throughout the two day process with an assessor from the Education & Care Unit, our educators felt confident and relaxed as they shared their practice, skills and knowledge.
It is truly amazing that we felt capable and confident to maintain our practice, taking the assessor on bush walks and spending time around our bon fire with the children.
A great validation for nature pedagogy!!!
