Our Philosophy
At Possum Magic our philosophy is to provide a happy, warm and stimulating environment for all children.
We will provide support for the children to grow and develop to their individual full potential. We will always provide positive encouragement, support and opportunities for the children to explore their environment in a safe and nurturing way.
Staff will always acknowledge the children’s efforts and praise their individual milestones.
We will ensure that the children are given opportunities to explore life experiences that will enable them to understand the uniqueness of all cultures and gender. Through adult role modeling children will develop an understanding of other unique cultures and become tolerant towards others and their abilities and beliefs. We will develop this attitude towards others through kindness, love and respect.
Possum is committed to providing an environment that offers children the opportunity to express themselves as individuals, to be able to participate in play through a wide range of activities and resources. To support an environment that is non judgmental, friendly, secure and encourages an anti-bias approach to children’s play and interactions.
We will include and respect the needs of all the children by building an understanding of their cultural backgrounds and abilities and continuing to create an environment that encompasses the beliefs and expectations of the staff and parents.

Through encouraging parent involvement, mutual support and open communication between families, we will endeavor to create an extension of the home environment.
