Do not bother. Huge staff turnover, unsafe spaces, negligent director, constant miscommunication, unhappy children. In response to below comment: I have the correct centre. And none of the staff have been there any longer than a couple of months.

Response from the owner 04 Jun 2024

Hi Natalie Jenkson we have never had any of your children enrolled at the service. The Director has been on bereavement leave since March due to the loss of their mother. Very happy children you are most welcome to come in for a tour and spend time. We are not a large chain out to make profit actually the opposite! Our commitment is offer children, families and the team a special place where they leave with lifelong memories and friendships. Embracing slow pedagogy, real authentic child lead play, rituals, real life experiences, documenting children's thinking and learning. Low ratios and group sizes. Opportunities for bush and farm experiences. Connection to community. We spend a lot of time outside in our beautiful natural outside environment. We are unique, boutique and not the right fit for everyone. Staff have been at the service for 22 and 16 years. I think you may have the wrong Centre. Definitely wrong Centre if you are connected to our WCK community you would know our long term staff. Thank you Kat.

Woombye Nature Kindy is the perfect environment that fosters curiosity, child-led and kids natural way of learning. Meg, Shannah and Cassie are amazing with the kids, so caring and passionate. The best kindy for busy boys that love building, mud, nature and bugs! Highly recommend.

Great concept for an alternative childcare/kindy but the Director was very rude and extremely unorganised. The location was changed often at the very last minute and I was promised centre hours upon enrolment only to be told by the Director that the centre isn't suitable for working/single mums. Do not recommend this centre if you work full time or if you are a single parent.

Response from the owner 01 Sep 2022

Hi Sherell It was a pleasure to welcome your family join our small community of learners. It was a joy to watch R grow in confidence at our nature program sharing so many adventures and making many special childhood memories and connections. Congratulations again on new job position it is regretful we could not assist you with the new hours you required and had to have tough conversations around picking and dropping off outside of our agreed session times. We offer term set full day drop off and pick up Bush and Farm Kinda sessions. At our Woombye Bush site (next road over from the centre) and at our Greenhouse farm at Kureelpa. As advised our sessions change according to the weather or other unexpected circumstances whereby the group then attends the Centre instead of the site session. We certainly have had a lot of unpredictable extreme weather this year and for safety and comfort have changed location to the Centre on these occasions. Through the OWNA app, our daily reflective diary, end of week weekly reflections, newsletters, and notification messages are available for families to read and provide information on Woombye happenings. We are different and offer an alternative to traditional long day care, that is our strength and why our families and children love us. Our Explorers spend a lot of time outside learning thinking and playing in nature, caring for the farm animals and gardens while working together as a small team making connections to land, country, and community. We have been so lucky to have Carly from Nature Weavers run our Bush and Farm sessions and offer a deeper level of learning and knowledge. We wish yourself, R and her Grandparents and Dad all the very best. It was lovely to have you all play a part in our WCK Community. Warm regards the WCK Team
