Our son Liam has been attending The Owl and the Pussycat Early Learning Centre in Collaroy since the beginning of this year, and we honestly could not be happier with our experience. From the very first day, we felt that this place was something special. The centre has such a warm, welcoming atmosphere — it truly feels like a small community where every child is known, valued and cared for. The educators are simply wonderful. They are kind, attentive and deeply committed to the children, and it is clear that they genuinely love what they do. The leadership of the centre really stands out. The director and owner clearly hold very high standards for care, education and respect for each child as an individual. That philosophy is felt throughout the entire team. Every staff member we’ve encountered has shown patience, warmth and professionalism. One of the highlights for us as parents is receiving the daily photos and updates. They are beautiful and thoughtful, and they allow us to see Liam’s day unfold — the friendships, the creativity, the outdoor play and the learning moments. It gives us such peace of mind and joy to see how happy and engaged he is. Most importantly, Liam is absolutely flourishing. His confidence, curiosity and social skills have grown so much since starting here. Seeing him run in happily each morning and talk about his friends and educators when he comes home says everything. We feel incredibly grateful to have found such a nurturing environment where our son can grow, learn and build friendships. The Owl and the Pussycat is a truly special place, and we cannot thank the entire team enough for the love and care they give to the children every day. Brilliant day care which had a huge impact on the resilience and values of our kids. Love the sense of community they’ve built and all the extra activities to foster a family feel (Dadcamp, trivia nights, paint and sip).
