Kaleidoscope is honestly second to none when it comes to daycare. From day one, they made the transition so easy and reassuring for our little one (and for us as parents too!).

The educators are incredibly caring, patient, and genuinely invested in each child. You can really feel how much they love what they do. We get regular updates throughout the day on everything - sleep, meals, nappy changes - which gives us so much peace of mind.

It’s the perfect balance of being super professional while still feeling warm, personal, and full of love - just like home. Our daughter absolutely adores her educators and is always happy to go in, which says everything. Drop-offs are smooth and stress-free every day.

We feel so lucky to have found Kaleidoscope and couldn’t recommend them more highly!

The staff really get to know each family there, making everyone feel welcome. My little ones adore going to daycare everyday. The programs are perfect for their development.

Absolutely wonderful centre! My daughter has been going since it opened and we have had such a great experience. The educators are warm and inviting and genuinely care for every child. My daughter has thrived since being here and they truely go above and beyond to help families. Sharlene and her team have done a wonderful job at leading such an amazing centre and creating a positive environment for all. The centre itself is beautiful and spacious and very inviting. Highly recommended to all families looking for a centre that values children’s needs and interests, creates a safe environment, and that will exceed all your expectations.

Absolutely cannot recommend Kaleidoscope Kids enough! The team have worked closely with my family to make sure that my daughter settled in perfectly. She finally feels safe and secure at daycare - which is massive for my child. The love and care the team has given my daughter has been absolutely amazing and I cannot ask for a better centre. Director Sharlene and all educators is my daughter's room have helped massively in our transition and has made sure my daughter feels safe, loved and comfortable every day! So glad we found this centre when we did!
Cannot recommend enough 😊

My child has suspected ASD and ADHD and began on a six-week transition plan with reduced hours. I agreed to this because I wanted to give him every opportunity to settle successfully. During those six weeks, he had five amazing weeks and only two difficult days. Instead of recognising the progress he had made, those two days seemed to outweigh everything else. We were then told his reduced hours would continue “until further notice” with no clear timeframe or pathway back to his enrolled hours.

As parents, we understand that children have bad days. We don’t expect perfection, and I don’t believe any childcare service should either. It felt as though my child was being judged more harshly because of his suspected diagnosis rather than being supported through the normal challenges that can come with settling into care.

Communication throughout the process was extremely disappointing. I emailed expressing my concerns about not being able to continue the reduced hours arrangement and received no response. It was only after I made the decision to withdraw my child that there suddenly seemed to be a willingness to discuss alternative arrangements.

One of my biggest concerns was the lack of communication around the strategies being used to support my child. When we asked what was being done to help him regulate his emotions, we were never given clear answers. One day, I was told by an educator that when he became heightened, they had simply ignored him rather than supporting him through his emotions. For my child, this approach is not appropriate. He needs connection, reassurance and co-regulation when he is dysregulated. When we later raised this with the Centre Director, the response we received was, “I don’t believe you.” I found that response incredibly disrespectful and dismissive of our concerns as parents.

Another heartbreaking part of this experience was that, after those two incidents, my child began telling me almost every day that he didn’t want to go to kindy because, in his words, “my teacher just gets angry at me.” As a parent, hearing your child say that is devastating. Whether that reflected how interactions were intended or simply how my child experienced them, it was a significant factor in our decision to leave. A child should feel safe, supported and understood in their learning environment.

By the end of our time at the service, the trust between our family and the centre had completely broken down. We no longer felt comfortable or supported, which is why we made the difficult decision to enrol our child elsewhere.

I sincerely hope the centre reflects on how it supports and communicates with families of children with additional needs. Every child deserves patience, understanding and genuine inclusion, not to feel like they are a problem because they have a couple of difficult days or moments.
