My daughter had absolutely thrived at Applecross Pre-Kindy! Honestly look no further, this is THE kindergarten to send your child/ren to. Sonia, the company director, is absolutely lovely and supportive of parents and the individual needs of their child/ren. The set up of the centre is fantastic and nothing like you will find anywhere else. There aren’t enough words to capture my gratitude and appreciation for this place. As a young single mum, I often worried about my daughter when she went to previous daycares. But at Applecross Pre-Kindy, I had not a single worry. My daughter was well cared for.

Applecross Kindy has been an incredible blessing to our family. Our child joined at just 18 months old and settled in so quickly, thanks to the kindness, patience, and genuine care shown by the educators. The team creates such a supportive environment that we can truly see the children grow in confidence, independence, and joy. The staff are attentive, professional, and always make every child feels valued and safe. The learning experiences, routines, and activities are thoughtfully planned, and it’s clear that the educators are passionate about what they do. We are extremely grateful for the wonderful foundation Applecross Kindy has given our child. We highly recommend this centre to any parent looking for a warm, caring, and enriching early learning environment for their kids.

Great day care, my son just started there, they provide lots of activities through out the day, my son enjoys it very much. Educators are very experienced and welcoming. Recommend this place to everyone.

The whole place is very under resourced and what resourcesthey have are old, out of date, broken, missingmajorparts. There is no education program to followed and no child data collected to plan for future learning. Children get plenty of unstructured free play but no guided play and learning. Children with disabilities or learning difficulties are labelled as difficult or badly behaved and left to run wild instead of being cared for in an appropriate manner. Staff are very pleasant and friendly but lack any real knowledge and experience in early childhood development and learning.

Both my kids are attending Applecross Pre-kindy and love it. They both settled in so quickly and I think that’s a testament to the wonderful educators and staff. My kids love their teachers and look forward to their pre-k days. There’s always cooking, outdoor exploring and even chickens!! I love receiving the updates and photos about all the interesting and age appropriate learning activities they do. I was looking for somewhere my children can learn, grow and be stimulated - not just be ‘supervised’ and Applecross Pre-kindy is great. Highly recommend.

After using Applecross PreKindy for our first child and being extremely happy with the service and all around experience, of course we decided to send our second child here. It was so nice to come in after about a year and a half and see so many familiar faces working there still. My daughter has settled in really nicely and we are so happy with Applecross Pre Kindy still I can’t recommend it enough to friends, and will definitely be using again for my third child.

We were there for a few months and thought everything was great until we received a horrible email from the owner about our child's behaviour. The owner advised they'd been watching our child for over a month, and went on to list numerous "non-age appropriate behaviours" our 3-year old was demonstrating, like hitting, struggling to share, getting up when they were having lunch, etc - all pretty standard behaviours for a 3-year old. None of the teachers had mentioned anything to us about there being a problem, so when we received this email, we were absolutely shocked and horrified. If we had known there were behavioural issues, we could've discussed it with our child at the time but by this point it was far too late. To use the owner's exact phrasing, our child had become "draining on all involved" - horrible to hear as a parent and not the language you would expect from the owner of a childcare centre. No communication about how much they've eaten, if they had a nap, any sort of toiletry updates, and obviously no communication about any sort of issues or bad behaviour they are concerned about. The teachers and facilities are lovely and this is no reflection on them. We are so glad a wonderful place opened up around the corner with teachers and owners that genuinely care and are able to discuss developmental behaviours in a supportive, caring and professional way.
