If you are looking for a daycare in Morley, I truly don’t think there is a better place than Community Kids. The educators are incredibly loyal and genuinely care about the children. The Centre Leader, Tin, is very approachable and always communicates well with families. You can really see how much she thinks about the children and the centre community. A special thank you to Veni, the Kindy Room Leader. Thanks to her support, my child has developed so much confidence in speaking and is learning about routines and structure before starting kindy. Another thing we love about Community Kids is the large outdoor space. The children have plenty of room to play freely with sand, balance equipment, and swings. It’s a wonderful environment where kids can explore and enjoy being active. We feel very grateful to be part of this centre

About the Curriculum

About the Curriculum

“Let the child be the scriptwriter, director and the actor in their own play” - Magda Gerber

Nursery Space: 6 weeks – 2 years

Learning starts from before birth, and our Educators have created a welcoming and nurturing nursery environment where each baby feels safe to explore and discover new things - through their senses, their communication and cues (body language, facial expression and sounds) and through experimentation. On any given day you can see the nursery children engaging in all types of play including sensory play, music time, story time and more. Every day provides a brand new, exciting adventure for our babies to support their development, learning and wellbeing.

Toddler Space: 2 - 3 years

Our teachers and educators encourage the children to learn through play to help enhance their sensory-motor development. This happens through carefully planned music, dance, games, role playing and reading experiences.

On any given day the Toddlers can be seen developing their numeracy by building a tower, sorting objects, pointing and identifying shapes and patterns and participating in counting songs and games.

Children in our toddler space are encouraged to participate in group play. Group play is important as it helps our toddlers develop important social skills such as, turn-taking, developing self-confidence and emotional self-regulation. Our skilled team helps children through talking, planning and role modelling.

Kindergarten Space: 3 – 6 years

Kindergarten is a unique time for learning with peers and developing skills for later learning including confidence and curiosity, important skills for starting school. Our play-based program has school readiness at its core, encouraging active engagement in learning and supporting a range of positive developmental outcomes including resilience, independence, critical thinking and creativity.

The oral language supports literacy learning and a child’s oral language ability is the best predictor for later success in learning to read and write. Hearing the sounds within a language is the first critical step for all literacy learning. Our team supports our Kindergarten children's literacy development by engaging in rich discussions, reading, storytelling, dramatic play and experimentation all of which introduce new vocabulary as part of everyday conversations.

Throughout the Kindergarten year, children use their language to share ideas, ask questions, express themselves, and connect with peers and adults in social settings.

Social-emotional skills, including the ability to self-regulate emotions, are supported through group learning experiences. Our team supports each child’s social and emotional development by labelling and talking about emotions and supporting appropriate responses as together, they engage in new and challenging situations. Our goal in the Kindergarten year is to prepare children and families for a smooth transition to primary school.

Health and Nutrition

Health and Nutrition

Our centre chef prepares and cooks nutritious meals daily, catering to the unique dietary requirements of every child. We believe that by encouraging active participation (such as growing their own fruit and vegetables, preparing, and finally cooking!) children learn to appreciate and understand the importance of healthy eating across a wide variety of food.

Our centre offers seasonal whole food-based menus – created to delight the fussiest eaters.

Hi, my name is Tin, and I am the Centre Manager here at Community Kids Morley. I believe in giving children the freedom of choice to make decisions and direct their own learning, fostering their independence and confidence.

I’ve been working in early learning since 2013, the same year I joined Community Kids Morley. My journey began as an assistant educator, and I’ve had the opportunity to grow into roles such as Room Leader and Assistant Centre Manager before becoming the Centre Manager.

I was drawn to early education because I wanted to be part of the crucial early years of children’s lives, where they develop a love for learning and build foundational skills. I particularly love working collaboratively with families and the community to provide the best possible care and education that helps children thrive. Through my experience, I’ve learned that children learn best when they feel secure, trusted, and respected in their environment. I believe in giving children the freedom of choice to make decisions and direct their own learning, fostering their independence and confidence. My approach is centered around creating a nurturing, engaging, and supportive environment where each child feels valued and inspired to reach their full potential.

At Community Kids Morley, we create programs that support children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive growth through play, exploration, and guided learning experiences. These experiences provide a balanced approach that is often more structured and diverse than what might be possible in a home setting. Our kindergarten program focuses on school readiness, helping children transition smoothly into formal schooling by introducing them to classroom routines and group learning experiences.

Our team at Community Kids Morley is passionate about supporting and nurturing young children. Many of our educators are Diploma-qualified and have been with the centre for a long time. We are proud of our culturally diverse team, which allows us to support families and children from various backgrounds effectively. I believe in building strong, supportive relationships with families by approaching each one with respect and empathy, valuing their unique perspectives and cultural backgrounds. We maintain open, honest, and regular communication, and we encourage families to be actively involved in their child’s learning journey.

I look forward to welcoming your family to our Morley early education centre, so you could experience how we foster a community where every child can flourish.

Our experience leaving Community Kids Morley Early Education Centre was disappointing. Despite confirming our children’s final day, the centre incorrectly charged fees after they had finished and I had to dispute the charges. I also received communication referencing debt collection even though my account had already been paid in full, and the refund required multiple follow-ups. There were also ongoing concerns with hygiene during toilet training, with soiled clothes being bagged without proper cleaning, and frequent incident reports. Overall, the billing, communication and handling of concerns could be much better. I would not recommend from personal experience.

Response from the owner 13 Mar 2026

Hi Maddy, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you felt disappointed by your experience. We take concerns about billing, communication and children’s wellbeing very seriously. Our team always aims to work closely with families to resolve any questions regarding accounts or centre practices, and we regret that you felt this was not your experience. We understand that transitions out of care and final account processes can sometimes involve follow-up communication while matters are finalised. Our intention is always to ensure accounts are accurate and addressed as quickly as possible. The health, safety and dignity of children in our care is also extremely important to us. Our educators follow strict hygiene and care procedures, particularly during toileting and personal care routines, and incident reporting is part of our commitment to keeping families informed. If you would like to discuss your concerns further, please feel free to contact our Family Care Team familycare@communitykids.com.au Kind regards, The Community Kids Team
