Dayboro Kindy aims to help our children build resilience, connection and environmental awareness through child-led learning and nature immersion.
We believe that every child is wonderfully unique and has the right to feel safe, respected and celebrated in nurturing environments. We are a team of innovative Early Childhood professionals who highly value building and maintaining strong, respectful relationships with children and families.
Our aim is to provide a welcoming home like environment where children and families feel they belong and they are part of a community. We run a nature based, child-led curriculum whist still encouraging their development in reading, writing, art, science and math by qualified early learning teachers.
Dayboro Kindy seeks to nurture the whole child and as such, we believe that children benefit emotionally and physically when spending much of their time outdoors connecting with the natural world. This philosophy fosters social awareness and inclusion in our children. All children an opportunity to play and learn equally, together as interdependent members of our school and society.
Dayboro Kindy operates a play based program and provides a safe, warm and caring environment where the uniqueness of each child is valued and respected. Children choose their own activities and a focus is placed on the process rather than the end product. Children are free to wonder, explore, create, make mistakes, question and repeat experiences from which they can make their own conclusions.
The program includes aspects of literacy and numeracy learning, well embedded within the context of children’s play.
