I found this beautiful center back in 2023 and was immediately impressed with how they care for each child. Now with 2 girls here and the support the friendly staff have shown me, and the amazing growth my daughter has shown i hope this center get more recognition for their hard efforts. Thank you all for great recommendations and keep up the great activities, lil miss always comes home so happy.

We couldn't ask for a better place for our little one. They have awesome and caring staffs, and our son is always happy to be there! Thank you for everything you do.

Goodstart Mount Waverly has been my son’s only daycare since he was 8 months old and he will be completing his 4yo kinder This year. Not only has this daycare always gone above and beyond to make him feel loved and safe everyday since he started but they also make families feel comfortable and welcome. This centre is like a second home to my children. They care for each child’s individual needs and interests. We are happy to have our children attend this centre and I recommend taking a tour and seeing for yourself. :) thank you to the whole team for all you do daily.

I have been hesitant to share this experience for a long time, but after seeing so many news reports about child abuse and neglect in childcare settings, I feel it is important to speak up about my own experience as a parent.

I enrolled my child at this centre because it was conveniently located near my workplace and had generally good reviews. My child attended from around 11 months to 18 months old, although I cannot recall the exact dates.

During this period, I believe we received more than 12 incident reports. Almost every week, I would notice a bruise or cut on my child. The explanations were usually that she had fallen, accidentally bumped into something, or was still learning to walk. As a first-time parent, I trusted the explanations and assumed my child was simply a little clumsy, especially at that age.

It was also during COVID, when parents were only allowed to drop off and pick up their children at the door. We had very limited visibility into what happened throughout the day, so I relied on the centre to care for my child and communicate any incidents honestly and promptly.

The final straw was when I discovered a cut on my child's thigh while bathing her at home. I had not been informed about it, so I called the centre. What concerned me most was that the staff did not even seem to know about the injury. The cut was deep enough to leave a scar that remained visible for quite some time.

At the time, I was deeply concerned, but it was only after transferring my child to another childcare centre that I began to fully question my previous experience. At the new centre, my child had zero incident reports. Not one.

Of course, I understand that young children fall, stumble and occasionally get hurt. I have never expected any childcare centre to guarantee that no accidents will ever happen. What I do expect, however, is appropriate supervision, proper care, and timely communication with parents whenever a child is injured.

Looking back, the frequency of injuries, combined with the lack of communication surrounding that final cut, has left me with serious concerns about my experience at this centre. I wish I had questioned things sooner instead of repeatedly accepting the explanations I was given.

I am sharing this not to encourage anyone to make assumptions, but because I believe parents deserve to be informed and should feel confident that their children are safe and properly cared for when they are unable to be with them.

Please trust your instincts as a parent. If something doesn't feel right, ask questions, seek answers and don't be afraid to speak up.

Very happy that our girl joined Goodstart Mt Waverley! The educators & staffs are very welcoming and experienced. Highly encourage for parents/guardians that are thinking to join - do visit the centre and meet the team. The outdoor space is impressive and they also do bush kinder! "Teachers who love teaching, teach children to love learning." Thank you.🌻

My child has wonderful experience in this childcare and could not be happier with the care and support provided by them. The educators are warm, nurturing and creating a safe and engaging environment. I highly recommend the childcare to any parent looking for high quality care and early learning.

The best Daycare with the most wonderful educators! I’ve had my infant going 3 days per week since 6 months. This Goodstart Daycare centre is wonderful in every way. The staff overwhelmingly are long standing experienced, kind and fun, they take great pride in what they do and are so beautiful with the children. They offer activities and experiences to develop the childrens understanding of the world is a safe and enjoyable way. The facilities although not terribly modern are always clean and tidy, they have plenty of books, toys and equipment to enjoy. They always strive to reinforce the guidance provided to them and are communicative on my childs development. My whole experience with Daycare as a first time mother has been so positive and rewarding thanks to the team at Goodstart! This Center and its staff have helped me transition back to full time work with confidence. It means everything to me seeing my precious little girl being looked after so lovingly.

Starting childcare for the first time was a big step for our family, so naturally we were a little nervous. Just four weeks in, we couldn’t be happier with our experience. Every educator we’ve met has been kind, patient and genuinely caring. Even educators from other rooms always take the time to say hello and make us feel welcome.
We’re especially grateful to Priyanka and Rommy. They’ve been so caring, easy to talk to, and communication has been wonderful from day one. They always keep us updated about how our son is doing, and you can really tell they care about him.
We’ve also been so surprised by how much he’s learned in such a short time. In just one month, he’s learned to clap, dance when he hears music, put his water bottle back on the table instead of throwing it, and happily sit on a chair at mealtimes. These were all things we’d been trying to teach him at home, so it was such a lovely surprise to see him pick them up at Goodstart.
One moment I’ll never forget was in his fourth week, when he ran straight into Priyanka’s arms at drop-off without a single tear. Seeing that made me so happy because I knew he felt safe, comfortable and genuinely enjoyed being there.
Thank you to Priyanka, Rommy and the whole Goodstart team for giving our son such a happy start to childcare. We’re so grateful for the care, patience and kindness you’ve shown our family.
