I've joined Edge Port Adelaide back in 2020, growing from a casual educator through to Centre Director, and building deep roots in this community along the way. I hold a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and I believe the first few years of life are critical in shaping how children learn, communicate, and see themselves. Social and emotional development is where I focus my energy, creating an environment where children feel safe, heard, and free to explore.

I'm committed to empowering children to learn and grow according to their own abilities and interests, weaving culture, community, and respect for the natural world into everything we do. For me, nothing beats seeing the trust, smiles, and confidence on families' faces as they walk through our doors each day. That commitment to community was recently recognised with the 2025 Greater Adelaide Local Business Award for Outstanding Early Childhood Centre.

• Our dedicated team prioritises safeguarding children through daily practices, educational programs, and adherence to national child safety principles.
• All Edge team members have completed the new mandatory national child safety training, covering child-safe cultures, children’s rights, and recognising and responding to abuse and neglect. This complements Edge’s broader mandatory training program across key child safety and wellbeing areas.
• Our 3–5 years rooms benefit from a 1:9 ratio of educators to children (versus the regulated 1:11 ratio), meaning your child will receive an enhanced level of individualised care and supervision.
• Our supervisory and senior staff complete regular Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting training.
• We proudly work with Life Ed, Bravehearts and other similar child safety advocate organisations to strengthen the personal safety education within our programming.
• Our S.A.F.E. framework (Spot, Act, Fix, Explain) requires staff to speak up if they see or suspect something isn’t right. With S.A.F.E. in place, we have created a culture of accountability where reporting is expected and encouraged.

• Summative Assessment offering a detailed overview of your child’s progress over the prior 6 months, linked to the Early Years Learning Framework V2.0
• A detailed transition report is shared with your child’s primary school, highlighting their strengths and readiness to support a smooth move into formal schooling. For children attending Preschool only
• A planned room transition program, including family discussions and a transition letter, to keep you informed, reassured, and supported throughout the transition
