At Learning Wonderland we aim to provide a warm, safe and secure environment. We as Educators strive to build trusting and nurturing relationships with all children to enhance each child’s sense of belonging and wellbeing and in return support and provide learning opportunities.
We endeavour to provide a play based learning environment through our learning areas that enables children to explore, discover, create and imagine. Educators will work alongside your child to actively promote your child’s learning, through being responsive to all the children’s strengths, developments and interests. We acknowledge the importance of working together as a team for ‘together everyone achieves more’. Our educators are seen as role models and being advocates for children by being responsive to their learning needs and developments.
The Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) forms the foundation to our program/curriculum. The learning centres we implement are designed to promote relationships, communication, collaboration, and exploration through play. Our program/curriculum is a play-based education program for children to learn through child’s interest-based experiences, developmental domains, parent and Educator’s feedback/input and current events in a structured and unstructured routine. The indoor and outdoor environments are positioned as the ‘third’ teacher and children can move freely between these environments routinely to choose their own leaning experiences. In the preschool room we provide structured learning towards specific outcomes in various curriculum areas, and work towards supporting children in the preparation of transitioning to school. Our term to term transition to school program gives the school leavers an opportunity for structured learning.
