Programs

Programs

We are committed to fostering a strong sense of community and celebrating cultural diversity through a variety of exciting learning experiences and programs:

Outdoor Play Spaces: Our safe, engaging outdoor areas promote fun, learning, and physical development. With separate playgrounds for junior and senior campuses, features like a large sandpit, fort area, and artificial turf provide ample opportunities for children to explore and connect with nature.

Incursions & Excursions: We offer a wide range of enriching activities, including visits to local cafes, the town library, the CFA, aged care homes, and community programs with the police and responsible pet ownership. We also explore places like Tower Hill, where children engage in Indigenous programs and community experiences.

Healthy, Diverse Meals: We prioritise healthy, nourishing food for growing children. Chef Shehara prepares a diverse menu featuring multicultural dishes like Japanese vegetarian curry, pizza muffins, tacos, and roast chicken. Our meals also incorporate Indigenous ingredients, reflecting our commitment to cultural awareness.

School Readiness Program: We focus on preparing children for their next educational step with regular visits to local primary schools. We also ensure smooth transitions between our rooms and buildings, with educators accompanying children as they adjust to their new environments.

Celebrating Culture & Diversity: Cultural inclusivity is at the core of our curriculum. We integrate Indigenous ingredients into our meals, using native herbs like strawberry gum and Australian native rubs. Cultural learning sessions with a local Indigenous advisor deepen children’s understanding of Aboriginal culture.

Story House Early learning - we cannot recommend this place more highly! We have been lucky enough to have all three children accepted into this centre. Every staff member has made our children feel safe, comfortable and protected especially in times of need. Our children adore the educators, love the rotation of class activities and prefer the chefs food over mums meals most of the time. If there are ever any issues - Gill and Rach at the front desk are always more than happy to work through with you. This centre will forever hold a special place in our hearts not only for the way in which they have cared for our children - but for the community and friendships that we have made over the years with other families and staff. Thank you for all of your hard work guys! 🫶🏻
