About Bask Early Learning Toowoomba Range

Perched atop the iconic Toowoomba Range
Our centre offers a truly inspiring learning environment where the horizon stretches as far as young imaginations. With breathtaking views that span for miles, every day begins with nature’s own masterpiece, inspiring curiosity and wonder in both children and educators alike. Our elevated position captures the essence of possibility – where learning soars as high as the views that surround us.

This unique location combines the perfect blend of natural inspiration with thoughtfully designed spaces, creating an environment where your child can dream big while feeling grounded in our nurturing community. From sunrise to sunset, our centre is bathed in natural light and fresh mountain air, creating the perfect setting for growth and discovery.

At Bask Early Learning, we recognise that children need the embrace of community and room for individuality. We all need our curiosity sparked, just as much as we all may need a hand to hold. When we have the right elements (which will be unique to each of us!) in the right measure, we thrive!
In our centres, we strive to provide these right elements in the right measure to everyone who walks through our door so Team members, children and families thrive and grow.

About the Curriculum

Inspired by Jerome Bruner’s Spiral Curriculum, Bloom with Bask is our unique inquiry-based learning approach where children explore challenging topics in age-appropriate ways, revisiting and expanding their understanding as they grow.

Through shared thinking and nurturing relationships, our curriculum encourages children to become confident learners while exceeding national quality standards, weaving literacy, numeracy, and creative thinking naturally into their daily discoveries.

Our Commitment: The Core Values of Bask Early Learning
Our values underpin all that we do at Bask Early Learning. Designed to guide our practices with intent, we encourage bravery, accountability, sparks of curiosity and kindness in all that we do.

Together, these values shape our approach to nurturing growth through care and knowledge, creating an early learning experience that develops confident, capable, and compassionate individuals who will shine brightly in their future endeavours.

Bravery
We believe bravery is about facing challenges with courage and resilience. We nurture children’s confidence to try new things, knowing that just as the sun rises each day, every attempt makes us stronger. By creating safe spaces for taking positive risks, we help children develop the courage to embrace life’s adventures, even when the path seems challenging.

Accountability
We stand firmly by our commitments and choices. We believe in owning our actions and their outcomes, using them as golden opportunities for growth and learning. By demonstrating responsibility in our daily practices, we teach children that accountability isn’t just about accepting consequences – it’s about growing stronger through our experiences and sharing these lessons with others.

Sparking Curiosity
We are passionate co-explorers, encouraging children to question, discover, and marvel at the world around them. Through our inquiry-based approach, we celebrate the joy of asking “why” and “how,” creating an environment where curiosity shines as brightly as the midday sun, leading to endless possibilities for learning and discovery.

Kindness
We create warm, welcoming spaces where care and respect flow naturally, touching everyone who enters our centres. By modelling genuine compassion and empathy, we show children that kindness isn’t just an action – it’s a way of being that makes our whole world brighter, creating lasting connections that warm hearts and foster belonging.

We create a warm and inclusive atmosphere infused with kindness where children feel safe, loved, and supported, fostering their emotional and social well-being.
Building strong, trusting relationships with children and their families is at the heart of our practice. These relationships ensure a sense of belonging and security. We believe that bravery in these connections allows for deeper understanding and support.

Play is the primary vehicle for learning. Our child-led curriculum encourages children to explore, discover, and learn at their own pace while sparking curiosity through engaging and meaningful activities.
Environments that respect children's emerging skills and competencies enable them to make decisions and act independently. We ensure that our spaces spark curiosity and reflect the ideas, values, attitudes, and cultures of all who use them. We deliver a high-quality curriculum that sets high expectations for all children, promotes accountability, and encourages them to reach their full potential.

We are dedicated to promoting equity and inclusion for all children, ensuring they can access opportunities and resources to maximise learning, regardless of their background, culture or abilities.
We are committed to embedding Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives in our programs and environment, providing cultural safety and fostering a sense of belonging for First Nations people.

too many kids and not enough educators, very unsafe and full on especially for the price

Hi Piper, Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. At Bask Early Learning, we take pride in maintaining strict compliance with Queensland’s regulated educator-to-child ratios across all of our centres. The safety and wellbeing of children in our care is our absolute priority.
