Almost French Early Learning is an absolute gem in early childhood education. From the moment our child joined their 3-year-old kinder program, we knew we had found something special. What began as a journey with a shy, hesitant little one has blossomed into an incredible two-year experience that has transformed our child's confidence, social skills, and love for learning.
The educators at Almost French are truly extraordinary. Their patience, dedication, and genuine love for the children shine through in every interaction. What sets them apart is not just their professional expertise, but their ability to create a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported. Our child went from being timid and clingy to a confident, French-speaking social butterfly – a transformation that speaks volumes about the care and skill of this incredible team.
The learning experience here is nothing short of remarkable. Far from being a typical daycare, Almost French offers a rich, diverse curriculum that goes well beyond traditional early learning in Victoria. The children learn through exciting incursions – from dentist visits and wildlife experiences to encounters with pilots and circus performers. Museum trips, science centre explorations, and regular sports days have been a really important part of their learning adventures. Each day brings something new and exciting.
Nutrition is another area where Almost French truly excels. Fresh, on-site prepared meals that change daily ensure the children not only eat healthily but also experience a variety of flavours and cuisines. It's another way the centre goes above and beyond, treating food as an important part of education and cultural exploration.
Communication with parents is thoughtful and consistent, which is particularly impressive given that English is a second language for many of the educators. Through Storypark, we receive regular updates that give us insights into our child's weekly learning journey. Despite neither of us speaking much French, we've watched in awe as our child effortlessly chats with friends in French, bringing home library books that we eagerly try to read together.
Our only wish? That Almost French had a primary school. Under the leadership of a highly experienced educator, the centre runs like a well-oiled machine – a testament to the director's deep educational background and meticulous approach. The structured learning, the French immersion, and the incredible care have been nothing short of amazing. This isn't just a place that teaches children, but a carefully crafted environment that truly nurtures each child's unique potential.
As we prepare to say goodbye, we're filled with gratitude as well as a tinge of sadness that this journey is now over. To our household, Almost French has been more than a kinder – it's been a community, a launching pad for our child's educational journey, and a place where lifelong friendships have begun, and for that we are so grateful.
To the entire team: thank you for these incredible two years, we can't say that enough. You've done more than educate our child – you've instilled a vitality for exploration, a confidence to embrace new challenges, and a happiness that comes from genuine, joyful learning. These experiences will undoubtedly shape our child's journey far beyond the walls of Almost French.

Thank you so much for those immense genuine
kind words. It is a praise that will make some educators cry. They honestly go above and beyond their duty of care and we are so proud of them. We are so happy your daughter has flourished at Almost French.
We loved having her at Almost French and we are proud of what she has become. She can be proud too! It was a pleasure to support her during her kindergarten journey and we wish her all the best at "the big school".
We'll miss having your family around.☺️
