Gurwood Early Learning provides all meals (including purees & mash), throughout the day which includes breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack. These nutritional meals are prepared by our experienced in-service cook. Our menus are munch & move approved and provide high quality nutritional needs to the children. Alternative options will be provided when needed. If your child has any known food allergy/dietary requirements, their meals will still be catered for and prepared separately to all other meals. Gurwood Early Learning is also a NUT FREE ZONE.
At Gurwood Early Learning, we offer a full school readiness/preschool program which runs daily from 8:30am-4:30pm. This program is offered to all children who will be starting their next big journey - heading off to Kindergarten, where the experienced Preschool Teachers will focus on including them in learning experiences which include - language and literacy, mathematical equations, social and emotional activities to enhance and promote their current skills. This school readiness program focuses on preparing the children to be confident and capable learners.
Hello, my name is Emma and I am proud to be the Centre Director at Gurwood Early Learning. I've had the joy of leading this amazing team since we opened and am always looking to continue building a strong, supportive environment for our children, families and educators.
My journey in early childhood education began in 2013, starting as an assistant educator. Over the years, I've worked hard to grow professionally, taking on roles such as Educational Leader, Assistant Director and Director. Through these experiences, I discovered my true passion in leading and mentoring teams to continuously improve our practices and create meaningful, lasting outcomes for children and their families.
Outside of work, I'm a mum of four and a grandmother to one, with another grandchild on the way. Family means everything to me, whether we're out camping, cruising or enjoying a trail run. I bring this same sense of connection, commitment and enthusiasm into my role each day, and I'm dedicated to making Gurwood a place where every child feels safe, supported and inspired to learn.
Our curriculum is guided by the principles and practices of the Early Years Learning Framework which focuses on the holistic development of children, emphasising learning through play and exploration. It recognises the importance of the early childhood period being crucial in setting the foundation for lifelong learning.

Our Centre Cook/Chef is be dedicated to nurturing happy, healthy and well-nourished children. Our mission is to provide a safe and enriching environment where your child can thrive, and a key aspect of this commitment is the quality of food we serve.
At Gurwood Early Learning, we understand the critical role that nutrition plays in a child's development. That's why we will be adopting the NSW Munch and Move guidelines to ensure that the meals we offer are not only delicious but also packed with essential nutrients.
